Then the task isn't for them.

The newer LM's have higher requirements that before, this suggests to me that they are once again aimed at those of a higher rank than the previous LM's were.

If they can't do a certain task or any of the tasks then they should sit out that lm and wait for one they can do instead.

Well, the new LM seems to be tailored for EoTS hehe ;) I'm sure you guys have an easy time with them.

Hope Dan adds this "skip mission" thingy he said he was going to add if that's the case.

Obviously not saying that the EM is going to extinguish, but I can see people struggling with the new missions, and EM prices going up already.

What? People might struggle to do everything in the game all the time? Horror of unspeakable horrors!

Lol mate ;) You excel at the art of trolling ;p Can you tell me your IGN and legion name? just curious to see how well you know the game and all ...

I've been playing more than 3 years and am in a top 10 Legion.

I wasn't trolling, you just have a stupid suggestion because you think people should be able to do everything all the time. If people are having trouble they can increase their production or make better decisions about what to do with their resources.

Well, afraid to give me your IGN? :)

When I made the post I fully expected people to disagree with me, but it's the way you post and talk to people mate... and you know it.

BTW, for a 3 years old ship, your arti production is pretty bad ;)

...So you're saying you still don't have any points to make besides whining that you can't do everything? Sounds good.

Wasn't trying to prove anything, just wanted to shut up your whining.

Well, you managed to do that... again, well done.

Now, would you be so kind of giving me your IGN? I just would like to take a look at your ship... you are probably out of my badging range anyway, so no need to be afraid :D

As you pointed out earlier, I am an idiot, so I will definitely tell you. My ign is Prizmz, I am in The Knights Who Say Ni. You?

See you in game mate... soon I hope.

Edit: my IGN is, surprise surprise... Sharnhorst! - I do not need to hide... and you know what legion I'm in already ;D

BTW, I already know who you are... I was just testing if you would be "man" enough to admit it. I just wanna play with you a bit, it's fun you know :)

You can ask your Legion Leader, sent him a PM to confirm.

My Legion leader doesn't know who I am.

EDIT: Okay, I guess I was wrong about that, Bakkus knew.

I think Dan is making high em requirements, because he sees the game has become only focused on artifact production and the game losing balance. The same with the high energy requirements as of late too. There is getting to be a select bunch of ships that are getting monster in strength compared to other people. And that is fine, you work hard at the game you get good. But that being said too, it causes a lot of people to quit, and that affects the survival of the game and Dan's business. So it only makes since he going to try to direct the game in the right direction. By making the game requirements of higher EM/energy, a person needs more mineral production and energy, so that slowly shifts things away from more arty production and a few less TO's.

Good point

Yeah, but he's making a great point that he doesn't want more mining, so the costs need to be lowered.

I can dig it. Before LMs and the purger mission buff people were asking Dan to take it out of the %contribution tally on basses because everyone had huge stockpiles and nothing to spend it on leading to a massive dump as soon as a base leveled and the people who were online getting an almost unmatchable head start. Hopefully now prices can come to some sort of equilibrium where A>M>R instead of the current state of A>>>>>>>>>M>R and a maxed toxic won't take months to pay for itself to someone with lots of planets. (He did a similar thing with XTS, but someone did the math on that LM and found it way more difficult than any other so I don't see it being used more than once per person to use up peoples' left overs.)

Edit: Blueeye snaked me...clever boy

i disagree with the OP. yes, EM is now more valuable than before, but there is little chance of it running out. anyone who does not address the need for EM in their own mining production will just have to skip those particular tasks. choices have consequences.

i am still aiming for a 65% arti 20% mining 15% research distro ... but that is still far into the future. i see no issue with adjusting that to 60/25/15 if EM production does not keep pace with my needs.

hum how about changing the GTC so more EM can be bought at the same time?

E.g. from 1k EM per transaction to 100k or similar?

Definitely need this. Unfortunately, I believe it was suggested almost immediately after the GTC came out, and obviously hasn't been done, so I'm not gonna hold my breath.
