The trace has taken a while, but I've managed to locate the facility where the ordnance originated. I took the liberty of uploading the coordinates and gathering details from the scan charts. It appears to be a weapon factory, as I predicted.

Mission Dialog:

Trovar: The facility is just an outpost, however.
Good work. What else have you been able to determine about the location?

Trovar: From the highly predictable energy fluctuations, it appears to be mostly automated. It's possible that there will only be a small Alarri force there.
Defenses?

Trovar: Formidable around the factories. Large comm towers are also spread out around the surface... those will be an issue if you intend to proceed quietly.
We'd prefer to get the information without starting a major incident.

Trovar: ...Then I recommend that those towers be your priority. Taking control of them would allow you to put further pressure on the workers without immediate retaliation.
True...But perhaps getting their attention is what we want.

Trovar: The Alarri are deep in secrets. You will best get the answers you want in the shadows.

Trovar: I know we agreed that I would take my leave once the location was reached. This research has been of great interest to me. I would very much like to meet the Alarri before I venture off.
