Daily Mission Briefing
After a careful decision, energy pulses are fired at the Ventar to prevent it from using technology that could collapse the Uldri Expanse. Shortly after, the weakened Ventar is destroyed from the stresses of the surrounding anomalies. The Uldrinan quickly learn of the plot, and secure its wreckage.
Though it is very unlikely that the Ventar's technology can be recovered, the events may influence the Uldrinan to share their own at some point...
We were successful in preventing the Ventar from collapsing the expanse, but I'm afraid their ship was lost in the process. There were no survivors. Three Uldrinan ships have also approached, one belonging to Keln. He is hailing us.
Mission Dialog:
VARA: Comm is now open, commander.
Nice to speak with you again, Keln.
Keln: This incident with the Ventar... It is quite... alarming.
We intend to explain everything.
Keln: Our ships investigated the wreckage sometime after detecting the location of your energy pulses. This is when we discovered the Ventar's plan.
We did everything we could to stop them.
Keln: I am aware of that. It must have been a difficult decision.
It was. Their research was of great importance.
Keln: The council is grateful that you intervened, but they wish to discuss the matter further.
I imagine they must feel threatened by the potential of the Ventar's technology.
Keln: Indeed. We all are.
I will meet with the council, but I must return to base to debrief first.
Keln: Alright. Once you are finished, an escort at the border will be waiting to guide you through the expanse to the proper location.
Keln... Regarding the Ventar...
Keln: Yes?
We'd like to recover some of the wreckage. The families of the crew deserve it.
Keln: Given the circumstances, I cannot allow the potential recovery of its technology. The ship has been seized and is under maximum security control.
We are just looking to return the remains of the crew. Nothing more.
Keln: I will have a security team perform the recovery and provide capsules to you here. The ship, however, remains off limits.
Fair enough. Thank you, Keln.
Keln: Commander, I wish that we did not have to take these measures. We understand that the actions of the Ventar do not reflect the will of you or your government.
I will speak with my leadership. I am sure we can clear this up without any further incident.
Keln: Safe journey, then. The council awaits.
