Extremely rare NPCs show less frequently than rare NPCs. They are the strongest enemies in the game, requiring large amounts of [[energy]] to defeat. As with rare NPCs, they can be alerted to your legion, and typically require a large number of players to destroy them. The increase in difficulty however is matched by an increase in the number of available rewards that these NPCs will drop (typically 5-10 per extremely rare NPC). As with rares, if more people attack the NPC than there are rewards available, the players that cause the least amount of damage will receive no reward. Players that cause large amounts of damage may also "lock" on the NPC, meaning a reward will be guaranteed for that player once the NPC has been killed.

At random, you will encounter computer-controlled enemies while exploring deep space. These enemies can be found on the "battle" tab, and are commonly referred to as non-player characters or NPCs. Some are common and provide bonus experience when destroyed. Others will give you a chance to improve your ship or planets via special modules, artifacts, badges and sometimes research points. Some NPCs may also only be encountered at certain times of the year during special events, whilst others are only available whilst certain missions are in progress.

Check out the lists below and see what you can expect.

Contents

Common NPCs

These NPCs are easy to find and as such will appear on a regular basis. They tend to be easy to kill and will often only give experience as a reward.

Common NPCs

Uncommon NPCs

Uncommon NPCs show less frequently than common NPCs. They tend to be a little tougher to defeat than common NPCs, and their kill rewards may include experience or NPC-dropped artifacts.

Rare NPCs

Rare NPCs show less frequently than uncommon NPCs. They are strong enemies that can be alerted to your legion, allowing other players to join you in the fight. Their kill rewards often include multiple NPC-dropped artifacts, meaning the players that took part in the battle can receive varying, but randomly-distributed, rewards. Each NPC can provide a limited number of rewards however (typically 3-4 rewards per rare NPC), so if more people attack the NPC than there are rewards available, the players that cause the least damage will receive no reward. Players that cause large amounts of damage may also "lock" on the NPC, meaning a reward will be guaranteed for that player once the NPC has been killed.
