this started off as a thread about giving crimson obelisks a use in the game, but i might as well use it for similar suggestions.

-Crimson Obelisk Mission-

Energy required: 25
Rounds For Completion: 20
Completions Available: Repeatable
Rewards: 1 Ancient Crystal Foci

-Cloning Pods Mission-

Energy Required: 10
Rounds For Completion: 15
Completions Available: Repeatable
Rewards: A population module:
*insert name here* Size 1, Population + 1200, only one can be placed on each planet

-Engineered Virus Mission-
Energy Required: 25
Rounds For Completion: 50
Daily Mission
Rewards:
*insert name here* When used destroys 15% of target planet's population. Can only be used once per planet in a 24 hour timespan.
(i think a similar arti already exists, just thought this would be a cool thing to use viruses for)

Numbers can be adjusted :)

-1 Will be of most benefit to high rankers who could pull in large numbers of them, yet they are the players who already have massive Arti production per hour so should be getting them in in numbers anyway.

Wouldn't say it is overly required anyway, people can just get their arti production up. Mission rewards should be saved for 'special' artis.

the main reason for this is to give worthless artis (crimson obelisks) another use and give player another way to get artis that are high in demand (ACFs). is it overly required no, but i never said it was :P will high ranks probably do the mission more? probably yes, but the same thing applies to the star chart purger one as well and they can always use more things to do.

It would just be like the purger mission and yet we have that. I think its a fantastic idea. We need "crafting" in this game as it is.

I will change to a +-0 then for the reasons you outlined, yet still holding that there are other things that need doing first. :)

sell them now :P ;) prices for ACFs will probably go down, but i doubt they'll become utterly worthless either seeing as there are many uses for those artifacts: Crux, Bioship, etc.

Fixed. You should always put in at least 3 things before you use "et cetera". :P

lol I think it would be a good thing to implement. It gets a +1 from me because it would add more balance, and also because it is a way for higher ranking people to clear some of their cargo space.

The concept is good let us use up junk arties that just go to waste atm, the numbers suck a little tho 10k Energy to 20 acf's can do a lot of others things with 10k E.

+1. The only problem I can see with it is that ACFs willl drop in price, but on the flip side Crimson Obelisks would become more valuable and useful.

I like this idea, perhaps make it a daily mission?

A daily would be good. Or else the higher ranks could get like a ton of these in a short amount of time, also helps the Bioship ally

That argument about high ranks can be applied to pretty much any resource in the game. As for a daily I'm not a fan of that. People have hundreds, even thousands of crimson obelisks gathering dust. Only being able to do the mission once a day will not give crimson obelisks much more value nor make much of a dent in people's stashes and do you really want to only be able to get one ACF a day off this?

Why is a limit needed?
