Why not have the total amount of energy required to finish a mission displayed clearly next to it at the side of the missions selection area... that way... i'd say you can choose to do a high energy mission or low energy mission.
Personally i try to do less energy demanding missions but i don't bust out a calculator.. i just have a quick scan to see what one is what

-_- Its not the energy used joppsta, it is the ENERGY/XP RATIO.

These can make you more powerful for your level. By taking longer to rank up, you are more powerful for your level. I do agree that En/XP can be important but I can see why some would care about it less.

Levelling up faster makes you less powerful... as opposed to getting tier rewards Ranking dosnt make you less powerful, im a very powerful(could be one of the most) in the game and I do NOTHING BUT RANK. Not to mention the vast majority of tier rewards are small bonuses that are easily outweighed by having mediocre modules or more deck space. Though rank does not equal power, it does set the (reasonable) limitations.

I disagree that ranking makes you less powerful since you get 1 extremely major thing with rank on GL. You get the ability to colonize more planets so you can boost mining/research/artifact production. With an extreme artifact production, you can get plenty of goodies like hull/decks/androids/fluxes/expanders and shields. Heck I even got a radiant locker the other day when I let my artifacts get to max then clicked to collect. It was 7 levels higher than my highest weapon.

The tier rewards are generally poop. I'm only really excited about the energy charge +5 one at 38 completed.

However, when you get to level 34, you will have gained the following in no space tier bonuses. To me, it is pretty good: Energy Charge: +15 Shield Charge: +15 Attack: 30 Defense: 20 Scan: 5 Cloak: 20 Invasion: 15 Hull: 30 Shield: 15 Energy: 15 When you make it to level 70, you will have gained: Energy Charge: +15 Shield Charge: +25 Attack: 65 Defense: 35 Scan: 30 Cloak: 20 Invasion: 55 Hull: 115 Shield: 55 Energy: 80 Cargo: 60 I agree, not amazing but they don't take up space and the shield/energy charges are good.
