Thinking about finding a new legion.

I'm considering leaving my current legion and want to look at some other options before I make a decision. I'm a bit overwhelmed by the volume of recruiting threads, so I thought it might be more direct to ask the represented legions if any of them think I might fit in. My main reason for considering leaving is that the legion, and especially the leadership, is too quiet. I don't need a super-chatty legion or a warmongering legion (actually would tend to shy away from either of those!) but I feel there ought to be some healthy communication happening within the legion and the leadership needs to be actively engaged with the members. These things are not happening in my current legion. Me: mid-50s Human Miner - Spent many levels focusing on missions; now working on badges with the aim of adding battle market artifacts to my ship.
- Play style: I enjoy the occasional battle, but I do not play the game for war. Once I've finished "badging" I plan to focus more on NPCs and missions.
- I try not to disable or hack a player more than once per day, though I sometimes make mistakes. If that happens, I'm happy to take an appropriate level of retaliation.
- I like to help out legion-mates when I can. I've not had much opportunity to do this in my current legion, beyond sharing planet scans.
What I'm looking for in a legion: - Leadership interacts with members.
- Willing to fight, but not looking for war.
- Level 3 or 4 base. (I want to be able to contribute, but I'm only up to AI Logistics and the next tier is too big a hurdle right now.)
- Work like a team and help each other out.
- Majority of members are in the legion in order to play together (teamwork, strategy help, resource sharing, etc), not just to wear the "protection" of a legion name or receive base contributions.
- A range of player ranks.
- Sensible about sending out alerts. (Don't share a useless planet or a ship that hacked you once.)
Final note: I live in Australia, and I know from experience in other games that this means my online time doesn't overlap a whole lot with the rest of the group. This is both a blessing and a curse: it tends to mean less time in which to interact with the rest of the legion; but it also means I'm playing what is effectively the "night watch" when fewer people are online ( = potentially easier targets, occasional diplomatic edge). I'm okay with this if you are! Anywho. Leave a note if you think I might suit your legion (or vice-versa). Thanks in advance for your time!

Seems like more and more people play this game from Australia. Seemed like i was the only one early this year. If you wanna join a legion : Intergalactic Destroyers. The leaders seriously interact with the members alot. They even sometimes jump in and take some bullets for you just so you stay outta harms way. They have a level 4 base, so you can contribute and FB group page to talk and they also have a strict policy of only alerting certain decent planets. So you won't be recieving any alerts of tiny barrens etc

Hey, this is Nike Mikey, founder of The Destroyers. Our legion isn't a big one, but we are quickly growing.Elfling wrote: - Leadership interacts with members.
As one of the three leaders of my legion, I can tell you that both me and my co-leaders communicate with the rest of the legion. Whether it's talking on the comm, trading, or alerting planets to the newer players that don't have good planets, we definitely interact with our members.Elfling wrote: - Willing to fight, but not looking for war.
Don't worry, our legion is definitely not war-based at all! Most of our members are concentrated on missions, but also PvP every once in a while, just like you.Elfling wrote: - Level 3 or 4 base. We are literally almost to getting a level 3 base, and I can say with confidence that by this Wednesday or Thursday, we will be finished getting there (we need to get CTP). EDIT: Just got to level 3!Elfling wrote: - Work like a team and help each other out.

I often see a couple planets/ships alerted when I log on, and we trade often. We aren't stingy with our artifacts! There are 1 or 2 members in the lower ranks that are wearing the "protection" like you said, but I'm going to have to talk to them about being more involved. We have ranks from 14 all the way to 87! And we have many ranks in between. Right now we have 10 members, which will go to 14 once the rest of the members from Big Bang merge over to us (this Wednesday or Thursday). EDIT: Merging complete!Elfling wrote: - Sensible about sending out alerts. (Don't share a useless planet or a ship that hacked you once.)
Yes, we're sensible about this. Don't worry, your ship log won't be overrun by dumb alerts.Elfling wrote: I live in Australia, and I know from experience in other games that this means my online time doesn't overlap a whole lot with the rest of the group. I'm okay with this if you are! Don't worry about this either. I myself was surprised when I saw "Last Online" times all over the place. There are a couple people that log on at 3 AM!The fact that we have a level 3 base at our rank and size really says something about our teamwork. We have a facebook group that I've made so we can communicate better. The only rule we have is to stay active. I hope you consider joining our great legion!
Everyone who joins gets a signon bonus after staying for 1 week.

i suggest joining us at The oncoming storm. we have players that play at all hours of the day, along with a group page to make communication easier. along with that you have the support of our sister legions, the strongest of which is champions of time. we only ask 2 things be helpful and be active. we share npc's and we give you back up when we can.

you could come and join Descendants of Altair, we have vast differences in ranks, from almost 300's to low 20's every member has their say, and we have a lvl 4 base, if you can get up to the hrybid theory part of the base sheild you can use our CT lab. we protect our members and will gladly share anything that you ask for so go ahead and please consider us when you pick a new legion

He was just pointing out something he thought was odd. No need to be a jerk about it.

My legion Soul Drinkers would be a good fit for you. We focus on NPC combat and we will be able to help you as much as we can. I cleaned out my legion of all members that didn't contribute to the legion. I'm usually on at all times of the day. So it's easy to catch me. Even though my legion is small, we do look out for each other. I'm looking for active players that will contribute to the legion. In my legion we help each other out however we can. The only requirements I have are that the member is active, contributes to the legion base and use legion comm. If you have any questions, then please let me know. I look forward to hearing from you.

Consider joining Vygoid Genome.
We're a tight group of over two dozen, where everyone has a say concerning who or what we attack and when. We share credits, planets, artifacts, and have each other's backs, doing whatever it takes to make the each member's ship, and consequently the legion as a whole, stronger. You'd be right in the thick of things in our legion, as we have eight other players around your rank, with ten more above Rank 60, eleven below Rank 50, and we are all working hard towards a Level 4 Base.
We're active on chat throughout the day and have players on at least three continents, meanwhile the group itself has grown to nearly five times its former size in just the past month and we frequently conquer planets or battle elite NPCs one or more times every single day. Many of us including myself began concentrating on missions, worked on badges, and are planning to ultimately hunt NPCs. We pride ourselves in working together to make each member the strongest they can be.

Again, that's Vygoid Genome, click my banner for more details or this link to join: http://apps.facebook.com/galaxylegion/l ... Q9NjU5Mg==

THE MIZFITS Yup. Us Mizfits are pretty awesome... not that I've spent much time there recently. Annabell wrote: Consider joining Vygoid Genome I can vouch for VG. I had a good elite alerted in the 2 days I was there. (Vortul)

Join us at Phoenix Rising. We have a good mix of ranked players that talk and help each other. We look out for one and other. Help with planet shares and artifact sharing as well. As an officer I will answer any question you have and help you out in every way I can. That is also what the other officers and our leader will do as well. We have a Level 4 base with 3 discoveries. Check us out.
