Figure I would make a post for people to share what Artys they have gotten from killing NPCs. That way everyone will have an Idea whats all out there. I will go first. I have only gotten one arty.
NPC: Rare Arty: Crimson Auto-Laser **Atack +25** Size: 5 Ship limit: 4 Crimson Weapons Upkeep: 1.3k per day

I have disabled 8, [ eight ], now. Is there a magic number you must disable before you commence getting NPCs that give Rewards ?

After I finish the temporary mission pretty soon I think I'll only battle NPC's when an uncommon or rare one pops up.
The new battle system is weeeiird. I could 4-hit a level 15 NPC with 700 attack but now I can 3-hit them with 200.

Perhaps 10 NPCs must be disabled prior to getting a Reward because on my 11th disable I finally received a Reward.
My Reward was 120 Research & 22 additional experience points !
Well, better than nothing, unless this is a standard reward for everyone that disables over 10 NPCs, in which case I have still not obtained any Loot !

Seems like the low level NPC has a ridiculously low ceiling damage, while the medium level has more realistic ceiling damage. Thus I could kill a medium faster than a lower level NPC (Though medium levels hit back harder, but I save energy per kill)

It is not the number of NPCs you kill its is which ones you kill. Some lower end ones will give you minerals, bonus XP, ect... Some common ones will give nothing, but the uncommon and rare ones should always have something like Research points, ship modules, planet buildings, and just useful artifacts.

This is true, Its not how many its what you kill. The crimson auto cannon i got was from a Rare NPC. Common ones normally only give extra exp point. from uncommon ones i have only gotten research points but only have did 3 uncommon total. I have just did the one rare npc, that is where i got the auto cannon.

I've been lucky by the looks of it. I've got a Crimson Auto-Phaser, which is a better weapon than Waruk posted above. Attack +40, 8 decks, 12500 upkeep/day. I've got another Crimson Station in my NPC list at the moment too, so I might even have a second one soon. I've also got a Terran Outsider Harmonic Pulser, a size 2 module that reduces shield recharge time by 5 seconds. Limit of 4 and 2000 upkeep/day. I've also had the rescued prisoners that SpoonyJank posted about.

Leveling up so I can have defences and weapons right now. Well def also is cloaking, but one more level and what I got is all on. Got a while before I canstart to kill things, but ATM I am picking up artifacts that will help me once I start. One Drannik Saboteur can help a lot, cutting there def in half (so my attack can better match the two I started with defs). But my current goal is to get NPC killing worthy. Since it seems there is plenty of goodies just waiting for me to get.

Have not had any uncommons or rares yet... and 19 NPKs (all commons)
The common research ships tend to give some bonus Research points when they are disabled though...
And I have received enough Zolazin debris to complete the mission once, though I am shooting for all three to work on my next tier award.

From a shrieking Crimson Shrieker I got some crimson planet weapon artifact that does +75 attack and takes up one slot on said planet. It doesn't look as cool as the +1 mining +40 attack thing but oh well.

Sha'din Infiltrator XV ( The Sha'din Coalition ) Rank 65 Raider Uncommon
300 Shields 300 Hull Attack 350 Defense 250
Disable Reward: 40 xp
Members of the Sha'din are recruited for their well known criminal backgrounds. The Coalition's Infiltrators are special vessels designed for ambush attacks on outposts and colonies. They sometimes take hostages aboard.
Sounds like there is a chance for prisoners as a reward.
