I've seen the [your attack/3]/[planetary defenses] thing. But where does an Invasion Bonus add in? If you have a weapon that provides a +30 bonus for example, does it add in before you divide by 3, or after you've divided by three... ?

In other words, is the numerator:

[ship att + ship invasion bonus]/3 or [ship att]/3 + ship invasion bonus

?

I believe it's beforehand, as it counts as attack at that point.

Anywho, where are you getting the divided by 3 thing with your attack? According to your equation above, only 1/3 of your attack is counting towards the invade vs the planet defense.

as its specifically for invasion i would expect its added, whole, after any rounding down of your regular invasion figure...otherwise whats the point of saying its just for invasion?

It was published last week and verified by several people who failed, looked at their invasion chance, used the formula and got the invasion chance listed.
