Is there anything to stop you striking up a bargain and farming green badges with another player?

Only thing about this is ye pay loads an loads o credits fer invasion fees. If ye has cheap fees, might be worth it. If not, what's a green worth te ye.

As a side note, seen this one done a few times: Big player shares a world te someone else, usually mining (very large rich toxic), then te other guy leaves te legion an first invades, takin it from 'im. This give 'em both greens, an allows droppin a doubled assimilation locus on a nice seed planet ripe fer increasin te 16x.

I've tried doing this to give a friend in my legion one of my planets and it doesn't work.
When you or the other person leaves you lose the scan...

if you have not colonized the planet and share it to your legion so one of them can take it then you leave the legion and take it back, then that player that you shared it to alerts it and another member takes it, so now you have 3 mates that have it on scan and the next day or 12 hrs later you can do the same thing x3 and in a few days the whole legion has the same planet on scan and can have that planet passed around twice a day with everyone in your legion gaining 2 green badges a day...

and sure it will cost a ton of credits for someone with more planets but then again they make a ton more credits and can also be worth it.. and now that we can become the mylarai and have the +1 mining ability it has even more worth doing such a thing..

but, us who are savvy enough and can conquer many planets from other random players and real enemies dont need to do this kind of thing.. like me and my legionmates... but obviously i know the game and understand how it works

Ah, kk, thanks. If people put the energy+money into it then I don't really see it as bad, and a whole legion can benefit, but now with loyalty more important, is it worth is anymore?

This trick may be of some benefit to lower ranks where their invade costs are low and the production buildings they have available to them are not very efficient but at higher levels, there is really no benefit to farming for green badges.

Think about giving up your ability to invade planets for three days minimum. Most likely more.

Think about the marginal resource increase (if any at all depending on how the planets spaces work out) you receive compared to the cost of invasion. How long will it take you to break even?

Now also, think about losing your loyalty bonus and everything that goes with it for a week at a time.

Anyone of any rank that does this will just be slowing themselves down. Let them.

i do agree with you all, but still over time it is a bonus when you get to the higher ranks.. (it turns out to be a long term investment) albeit a more costly investment and longer to get any return on said investment the higher your rank/planet#, but in the end there is still a payout.

but as i have said- us who are savvy enough and can conquer many planets from other random players and real enemies dont need to do this kind of thing.. like me and my legionmates... 3:)

so in other words, it is worth it if you dont mind waiting a while for the payout and the higher your rank/planet# the longer the wait...

This same "tactic" (though most would say trick or exploit) is also used to pass planet artifacts around to lower ranked legion members. Example, person A hits npc and deploys Interrogation Stronghold. Assuming all other defenses are stripped off, which is the whole idea, then the lower rank easily over comes the remaining 200 defense on the planet and inherits the IS. Taking it a step further, they could then use the Mylarai Build Extractor and relocate the IS from the junk exchange planet to a more suitable one.

But I am speaking hypothetically of course; for I am a noob and don't know about such tactics either.

Yes, that there is another purpose to this aspect of game play.
