no problem its a question that everyone has

the only way you can give away one of your planets is by using 5 GP (Galaxy Points) to abandon it then alert it.

The original question doesn't indicate if you have colonized the planet already or not. If the planet is unoccupied, you simply alert it and anyone in your legion can claim it within 12 hours. If you already invaded or otherwise occupy the planet, you need to do as quoted above.
