This topic has been "trending" more recently, which saddens and surprises me.... unsure how long this thread will last, but would like Dan and the support team to know, there are still many members (customers), who want to keep this gaming activity up and see improvements to provide a better GL experience for everyone!

With how much hard work was put into GL, have to appreciate what has been done and what more there is to look forward to.

If what you meant 'trending' is what we've been asking for 2 years ago, yes that is.

The community always ask for more of Dan's (or his team, whoever it is) to interact with the community.
The mod is 'nothing' more than rule enforcer, I'd love to see them joke or state their opinion more often, without decreasing the respect...

I made this mistake some time ago as well. The mods also have non-mod accounts that are probably their main. They only pop into Mod-mode when they need to, so it can appear that they haven't been online in a while when in fact they are up to date.

This is very true. We are up-to-date on what is going on. There has been no real need for us to be on as of late. This means there hasn't been problems in the forums. Part of that is many of the problems are gone (and/or not posting), part of that is the general decline in playership of the game.

The game has been around for 5 years. Not many facebook games make it that long.

I have heard from other members though, that issues they have had with the game that have been reported (via email) with the Mods/Support Team. Have resulted in no resolution or response back such as, "What do you expect us to do?"

True most fbook games don't last that long, but there must be a reason why GL has lasted so long, need to keep it going and although activity has showed as "decreasing"... I do not know how much more Officers and Leaders have to do to promote more activity and recruit/advertise.... Any way there could be "awards" for a recruiting/advertising on fbook? such as Galaxy Points, Medal Points, or Artifact prizes (to promote more activity)?

the 'what do you expect us to do' was in response to a facebook friend refresh issue and had NOTHING to do with the game. sending a support ticket for something that the dev has no power over is the problem of the player, not the dev.

That poses the question, if that is the feeling of Dan, should we stop spending money on GP if the game has a pending demise?

If GL has been abandoned, what other browser-based space game can you recommend for us that'll be more fun (and kept up-to-date) than this one?

There is nothing to say galaxy legion has been abandoned. less than 3 weeks ago it was the lepus event with a new style of npc, the mechanics of the wings being never before seen on a npc, with new artifacts and new effects on the galaxy.

Now I also brought up the issue that when any of us invite friends they do not get the notification. Has that gone anywhere?

Its pretty obvious its not the game that is the problem.

Ok, so back to the op.

Advertising. Oh, wait. There is none.

^ If you look there were YouTube videos, a few years about about GL. But there are many "short" TV advertisements of game app/fbook games. However, if the "goal" is to have its customer's/member's advertise the game more, should be some "perks" for doing it... just suggesting.

I really loved the Galactic News...

We need new players, our game shrinks, you have to catoiro to new and 1-3 year players the most, constantly they are your lifeblood new incentives, new bonus, recruitment rewards, ect. let me ask you rank 2500+ club, is having 625 of your planet slots all be x22 ring Mega collosals really that great when their is no one to rule it over?

My thoughts exactly. I can't see where Dan wouldn't have an incentive to add more content and whatnot... More content = Happy Players = More GP point bought = Happy Dan

1. We need the game to be self sufficient in advertising, selling itself, to new players
2. New content on a somewhat regular basis
3. Dan and the mods being a bit more personable and social (even if it means an update post that isn't a year apart from the last...)

^ Agreed, how else do you suggest we "promote" activity?? Surprised to see how many legions out there with one or more members, whom are inactive and of higher rank (ex 1ks).

Also was wondering if anyone has been getting "E Cubes" in a while, that would boost some Activity too for sure!!

Funny enough I've noticed that the amount of tri's and e cubes ive received recently has been few and far between. haha i sound like plurv!
