Here's the next piece of my series! Check out the other part II missions and give feedback! Thanks all!

Legion Mission Part Two Missions

Foundry of War If you succeed… The Mastery of War

Captain, many of the ships your teams just attacked are retaliating. It seems they are looking for a fight.
Shall we give them one?

Why not? They need to know who the masters of war are.
What were you thinking?

We will strike on two fronts: physically and cybernetically. Both will be needed for success in this mission.
What exactly do you need me to assign my teams to?

First, we should disable and raid a large number of ships. Take everything you can from your enemies. Each kill should be matched with at least three raiding parties. 30 ships should suffice per member of your team.
Isn’t that a bit excessive?

This is to show that we are the masters of war! We do not want to look like a bunch of tea drinking pansies to our enemies!
Yes, sir! Understood, sir! What other orders do you have, sir?

Second, hack into as many enemy ships as you can and steal data. I want 30 data chips on my desk within 3 days from every team member you assign to the cyber war. Bainar will help you in this collection.
Yes, sir! I will assign ships immediately!

One more thing, the foundry plants have been getting attacked during riots on the planets. Upgrade their defenses so they can protect themselves.
I’ll assign my researchers to work with tactical officers presently.

You have your orders. Move out!
Yes, sir! Right away, sir!

Task 1: Physical War
Disable 30 ships. Raid each ship 3 times. This will send a sufficient message that you are a master of war.

Task Reward: War Cannon (Weapon)
Size: 25, Attack: 200, Invasion Attack: 150, Hull: 100 (Upgrades to 500% at 50% intervals)
When fully maxed: ability – Master of War: adds 5% PvP attack and 5% hull. Attack buff doubles against ships that have disabled you in the past 24 hours. Costs 500 energy to use.
Upkeep: 100M

Task 2: Cyber War
Hack 30 ships 3 times each. On the third successful hack, ability pops up in the actions tab for Bainar to extract a data chip. Ability costs 250E to use.

Note: You need a maxed Bainar to participate in this task.

Task Reward: War Drone (Weapon)
Size: 30; Attack 250; Invasion Attack: 100; Cloak: 300 Upkeep 100M
Upgrades to 200% by 40% intervals. When maxed, the ability Launch Drone appears. Ability costs 200 blue badges and 2500 energy to use. Weapon module becomes an ally.

Ally: Firebee: Cyber Drone; Attack: 750, Invasion Attack: 300; Cloak: 900 Upkeep 300M
Rank Bonuses: 2% per rank
Unlockable stats: Rank 30: hack 5%; Rank 60: invasion attack 5%; Rank 100: Drone Strike ability
Next Rank Requirement: Crit-hack a planet from an enemy. Then use the ability Drone Surveillance on that planet. Ability costs 500E to use.

Drone Strike Ability: When attacking a planet, launch your drone. The drone will use an onboard missile to destroy a researched structure on the planet. Limits: Drone can only use once per planet per player per invasion attempt. Also, the planet cannot be alerted.

Task 3: Securing the Foundries
Anti-war riots have been started in front of many of your War Foundries. Upgrade the defenses to protect these structures.

30 shots of 400 energy, 10,000 research points, 20 crimson obelisk, and 20 grid consoles
Task Reward: War Foundry Defense Plan

Upgrades an existing War Foundry to a War Foundry mark II. Mining: 2, Artifact: 2, Research: 2, Attack: 500, Attack: 20%, Defense: 500, Defense: 20%

If the mission is successful, all participants are awarded 5 relic badges.

I think the rank up requirement for the ally should be changed; because crit hack is random , i.e., you could hack a player 100 times but still not get a crit hack or get it on your first try.

Exactly the challenge. After you've maxed the blue badge items, hacking is almost never performed. This is to encourage hacking, or heaven forbid multi-hacking, without making it easy.

Not only that but it throws PvP "etiquette" out the window

+1 from me, names could use a little touching up though, not that I can think of any better ones XD
only other part that bothers me a little is

Alerted, as in recently(48 hrs) or as in forever, month, year... b/c someone could alert their best planets in a few days, and if it was forever/year it would be a bit annoying.

P.S. I look forward to reading the other ones, and I really hope that Dan uses these :D

It would be while it is actively alerted. For planets that'd be the 12 hour period.

Great story as usual...

The thing that bothers me is the drone -> ally, which spawned by another ally (Bainar). And the restriction seems too strict, though I might have misunderstood it : after you launch the drone, you cannot alert the planet. And the drone also cannot be launched in an alerted planet.
Should only be the latter.

Thanks! I have fun writing these!

Yes, the latter is accurate. What I'm trying to avoid is someone alerting a planet and then a dozen or more drones bomb the crap out of the planet leaving it to be an easy invade. The restrictions are to keep it from seeming OP.

Nah, you can always give it a buff to prevent it from being bombed again after 12 hours, or something like that :)

Your dominance over the weaker races of this galaxy has been noticed, I have a more important assignment for you if you are willing
what is it?

While its true that strength of our arms is important if the enemy belives that they have allready lost then they will not put up much of a fight
That would be useful

With your reputation if we can spread the message that you have allready won then we would hold a distinct advantage
that resistance is futile?

Exactly, build on your reputation by terrorising those under the protection of rival legions, I would say that a group of at least 30 captains would be the minimum to be worthy foe. We want the advantage over those who might put up a fight after all, not those who are already dead

Exactly, while your reputation is allready quite notorious it must be maintained. Continue to terrorize our enemies. I would say that a group of at least 30 captains would be the minimum to be worthy foe. We want the advantage over those who might put up a fight after all, not those who are already dead

Task 3: Verbal War
Anti-war Protests have been started in front of many of your War Foundries. Upgrade the defenses to protect these structures.

30 shots of 400 energy, 10,000 research points, 20 crimson obelisk, and 20 grid consoles
Task Reward: War Foundry Defense Plan

Upgrades an existing War Foundry to a War Foundry mark II. Mining: 2, Artifact: 2, Research: 2, Attack: 500, Attack: 20%, Defense: 500, Defense: 20%

Task 4: Psycological War (Optional)
Fear can be a powerful weapon in war. The most feared warriors can have the gates of the city flung open by the enemy without firing a single shot
(can only be joined by Marauders and those with 5k+ kills (that could use a medal but thats another story), elite doesnt seem to work with this as the whole point of hacking is getting in and out without being noticed :P

Use 30 Desolation warning on active owned enemy planets (costs 500 energy each time Enemy player must be in a legion of at least 30 active members, planet suffers a decrease in production of 100% for a week)

reward: Despot Warlord seal
Size 20, attack 100, defence 100. Upgrades by 40% to a maximum of 200%. When fully maxed provides ability: Despot Warcry, decreases an enemy planets attack and defence by 10% for 8 hours,
---------------------------------

Legion mission bonus assignment (see viewtopic.php?f=6&t=42189 ):
Total War (as soon as the mission comes up the failure risk is there, this is an additional chalenge to that of the task chosen and automaticaly every member is enrolled)
At no point have either a calming amplifier active or a halcyon trap set
Reward: 3 rallying crys, increases all attack and defence by 10% for 24 hours

Second bonus assignment (requires maxed despot warlord seal)
Bonus: If you have a fully upgraded despot warlord seal you gain 30 Desolation warcrys and if all 30 are used then you gain Despotic Might Stronghold: Size 1 artifact 1 mining 1 all production +4% defence +20% attack + 20%, If built on a planet under the influence of a Desptot warcry then this artifacts stats are increased by 50%, if built on a planet under the effect of both a despotic warcry and a desolation warning this artifacts stats are increased by 100%

If the mission is successful, all participants are awarded 5 relic badges.

I added some stuff and made it very complicated with a bonus task because I love the idea of every time this legion mission coming up across the galaxy planets being reduced by 100% production for a week even after the seal is maxed
