 Suggestion for a Dark Higher rank boss or 5 person elite

Alright so this one would be for ranks 1200 and up. Can't really think of a name for it, never was good at that but it's as the title says a Dark Boss or Elite

Hull: 1,500,000
Dark Phase Engines : 250,000
Dark Void Rays: 250,000
Attack: 110,000
Defense 130,000

Abilities:

-IMI Resistant: Improved Mind Influence will last half its duration
-Dark Phase Engines, will sometimes phase out of dimension, making itself invulnerable for a short time (3 mins?) Almost like the Ghastius Bane Fiend but in reverse. Has a 10% chance of happening per attack, and maybe 5% with IMI on
-Dark Void Ray-Fires a missile that dispels player buffs and amplifies the Boss/Elite's attack by 100%(doesn't stack)

Rewards:
-Dark Void Ray (Limit 3 per ship)
Size 20 Attack: 150

-Dark Schematics
Upgrades a Dark weapon or defense on your ship at random by 25% up to a maximum of 200%

-3rd reward - Some kind of upgrade to null beacons maybe adding production which could be doubled if some other condition is met(thoughts welcome)

I was going back and forth between having 3 ship mods or 1 that is stackable like the attiroth plating, but I kinda liked multiple mods to have it funstion kinda like a kelethor as far as upgrades. Thoughts?

3rd reward - Dark Smugglers Cache ;)

I think that has to be a reward imo, especially if we're talking 400k dmg per lock. The other drops are ok, but definitely not worth the 400k dmg needed to get a lock. The chance at a cache(even if you wanted to nerf it to a 4 hour cache for this elite) would get people to hit it, but without it i feel most would just leave it after they got the upgrades.

Could be kinda OP, but without knowing more, like the rank of the NPC itself, i can't judge. I mean if it had a rank of 1800 say, then that's 4500 per shot if you cap(which most probably can't), that means it will proc at least 5x, but more than likely, it'll proc even more than that, meaning at least 15+ minutes of waiting to hit it.



I do like the idea though, it's a simple idea(in a good way) with decent items that aren't outside the realm of actual implementation. :)


As for ship mods, honestly the up and coming playerbase has very little use for ship mods that aren't epic, so if you do have ship mods, they better be stupid good, like the attiroth stacked plating.

Alright thanks for feedback. Yeah I guess smugglers cache would be a good substitute for the null beacon upgrade idea. I was either thinking that or having just a new planet structure altogether with production and possibly a 5% cloak bonus. It's similar to the crimson rift aperture in that if you have a condition met, the production bonuses could double and maybe even the cloak bonus too.

As for NPC rank, I was thinking 2,000. I wasn't sure if that would be too much of a gap given that players could start seeing at rank 1200(could always raise that)

As for ship mods, yeah I was kinda vacillating between separate mods which you upgrade(borrowing the idea from kelethor's schematics and upgrading the crimson weapon and hulls) or having one like the stacked attiroth. It would be cool to have something like that as a weapon, could have a really high attack as end result or a lower one with a passive attack bonus. Ofc it could also just be an activated ability, don't know what though. Seems ideas are running out on those considering the delays we have been having lately on getting them, I.e. Darmos about a month later and now the seal about 4 months later.

Anyway, then again, if it would have the DSC drops, could just stick with original idea of separate mods upgradeable by schematics, I kinda like that one as well as the planet structure one.
