Ok, we can all agree that the amount of clicking in the game is getting ridiculous. During a typical NPCing session, one can expect to kill hundreds of NPCs, most of which will take 2-3 hits to kill. Scanning is also a hassle in Galaxy Legion, as one typically needs to attempt 300+ scans in order to find a single good planet. These activities involve an inordinate amount of clicking, which is annoying and time consuming for players.
I am proposing to create a new button on the NPC screen titled "annihilate." When this button is pressed, the player will continuously attack the NPC until: a) the NPC dies, b) the player runs out of energy, c) the player's ship becomes too damaged to initiate attack. For elites and bosses, the "annihilate" button will be replaced by a "attack until lock" button that causes the player to attack the target until the player either receives a lock(guaranteed reward) or becomes unable to initiate attack.
In addition to the change to NPCing, I also propose that there should be a "Scan x10" and a "Scan x100" option when one is scanning for planets. This will make scanning sprees much quicker.
I hope my suggestion will help reduce the amount of unnecessary clicking in the game. If you have your own ideas on helping to reduce clicking, free free to post below.

I hope my suggestion will help reduce the amount of unnecessary clicking in the game. +1 although its been suggested quite a few times. My average NPC takes 3 hits(test run yesterday). I don't like clicking(1 click) to target, another to attack(3 clicks), and another to exit out(1 click). That's an extra two clicks per NPC and the time spent on targeting. Especially those one hit NPCs being a three hit NPC. -1 on Bosses for certain reasons.

I think a couple of things to consider here. Adding items on bt causes lag due to pagination. TRanslation, more lag. Adding additional buttons/options depending on situational logic would probably further slow things.
Second, clicking is what a fb game is all about. What's next, autoclick one button to NPC for you till you level/ e runs out/ too damaged? C'mon, embrace the clicking!
Like vegas every scan COULD be a dyson, every npc could be an elite, every pvp hit could be the kill shot.

Juiceman what rank are you? - that the clicking doesn't bother you. Also do you have a life? Many of us big spenders (I've spent over $100) on this game have a real life; I'm above rank 1200 and have been playing since the 2nd month of the game starting I believe (over 4yr). I've gone to slow ranking because of life and also to slowly covert my ship to a medium build ship. I have a job & family. Sometimes my Rescued Prisoners really build up (over 500) not to mention the other artifacts. The clicking and poor playability on the touch screen is getting to the point where I'm reconsidering whether I want to continue playing. I'm dreading what happens as I add more AP/hr and have to click even more next year. Interested in more of my 'rant' then http://galaxylegion.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=41729

Ooh look out, we have a badass over here... In the grand scheme of things $100 is really not even close to being a big spender on the game. Especially over a 4 year period...

It would be ok for Common and non-shareable npc's. But no for PVP, shareable NPC's and Bases. That would just suck if you got locked by a legion with millions of energy at their disposal.

brian,
Why so mad bro?
Not sure how "do i have a life" is relevant to the topic. I'm level 1477 if that helps you. Sounds like you log on to collect, and intermittantly try to use the artifacts in your cargo. Of course things will build up pretty quickly that way if you don't use things for such long spans. True to what you said about leaving the game, if real life (which by the way is much more important than this game) has demands, kudos. Maybe this isn't the game for you--or maybe slow ranking will pay off one day!
You can't have it both ways. I would guess i spend an hour of real time a day on here, plus some random 20 seconds collections during the day. Enough to have fun, but enough left to work, go to the gym, have fun with my family and friends and still post in forum for what we hope to be intelligent and though provoking commentary.
This game has added a lot of time saving features and has also added a lot of things which may take more time to do. The very base of the game though, is the clicking. Is it excessive on many things--hells yes. It is frustrating if you are tight on time, I'm sure it is. Like anything though, spend the time and it's not so bad. If you can't spend the time, thats good too---mean you have other cool fun stuff going on.

I dont mind the clicking in most cases tbh.
I support click reduction in certain areas of the game but not all.
NPC dont need an annihilate or auto kill button. Most of the commons are few clicks anyway. NPC elites and bosses shouldnt have this feature due to the effects of some of them such as the attiroth. You click the annihilate button on that one and it will just keep repairing itself over and over. Use it on the cluster and you will be screwed as soon as you are swarmed.
Auto kill buttons should never be used on bases. People should have to click their butts off to take down bases.
PvP should not have an auto kill button either.
I wouldnt mind it for scanning planets as long as scanning 5, 10 or 100 planets at once doesnt cause lag.
I of coarse would support a use all button to spend artifacts or be able to type the number you want to use in the box.

I'd be fine with that "use all" button people are always clamoring for, but outside of that, no need really.
IMO, if you feel like you are clicking too much, you probably are. Take a break for awhile, it'll make the game more fun when you return.

I don't like the idea of an "annihilate" button, but the option to do multiple attacks would be nice.. for example something like this:
Attack 5 energy (1 attack) - standard, what we have now Attack 10 energy (2 attacks) Attack 20 energy (4 attacks) attack 50 energy (10 attacks) Attack 100 energy (20 attacks)
Maybe not quite as many options but..
A use all button for artifacts would be great...

Cowster2012 wrote: -10, more rewarding when you work. And you can afk and have free terraformers over night I dont think the OP meant that you can go afk and auto kill NPC until you run out of e or whatever. I think the auto kill (annihilate) button only works on the current NPC you have targeted. Unless Im mistaken. Thus you can only auto kill 1 NPC at a time and therefore could never wake up to free terraformers. I still dont think its a needed change. As I said, I would support click reduction in certain areas of the game but not all. As in most FB games, clicking is just the way it goes. I have no problem with all the clicking and think there is much more important things Dan could be working on..

If by "continuously" you mean "automatically every x second"(where x could be smaller than 1, maybe 0.5?) as opposed to instantaneously, sure. If it's instantaneous, it won't reduce clicking because.... auto rank. They'd just get more done in the same time frame but they'd be clicking for just as long.
Planet scan suggestion is fine thou, because you'd have to be able to auto rank off purger mission to do that indefinitely and even then EM is limited. So there is a finite point where you would stop.

I oppose auto-click features for NPC, PvP, Bases, Planets, and Missions. I only support auto-click for a "Use All" artifact button. Having to click each one can get tedious and boring. Everyone should have to work to kill that tough NPC. Auto-click features on PvP would kill the remaining fun out of PvP. Auto-click on Bases and Planets would be unfair because one side could just pop on a repair nano every few minutes or so while the other side has to remain constantly vigilant. Auto-click on missions would make them seem even more boring. If such a feature were to be implemented for NPCs I would see it to have a percentage increase in average energy usage per number of attacks (as to make it less rewarding to use such a feature). ie. Code: 1 Attack = 5 Energy (5 Energy per attack) (-0% energy efficiency) 2 Attacks = 11 Energy (5.5 Energy per attack) (-10% energy efficiency) 5 Attacks = 30 Energy (6 Energy per attack) (-20% energy efficiency) 10 Attacks = 65 Energy (6.5 Energy per attack) (-30% energy efficiency) 20 Attacks = 140 Energy (7 Energy per attack) (-40% energy efficiency) Something like that.

I agree with the idea of speeding up the game a bit. It is really tedious to click every 1-1.5sec.
We all want to play the game, but unfortunately could not spend a lot of time on it ..... sincerely, I would like to bulldoze those NPCs without spending an whole hour constantly clicking on the it.
We really need to faster gameplay, so we could use the time for other important stuffs like engaging chats with other legion members. This is game is called Galaxy Legion, we are suppose to have interaction with the members. Shame, most of us are just zombie-mouse-clicker. Dan should something about it

Something different to look at would be nice but the easy way is just the lazy way.
