Is what Psicore put in wiki accurate ?

Quote:
Proxy-Universe Reactor 47 +442 9.404 5,500,000,000 CR, 35 Aidonium(cost) 137,500,000 CR (upkeep)

the wiki also shows an uncharacteristic decrease in upkeep in defenses near the end. It's either an adjustment or an error. Either seems likely considering how pointless research gets at the end.

It would probably take half as many artifact points to get enough rescued prisoners increase your total energy as much as those reactors while improving everything else at the same time and not increasing your upkeep.

It's not just the upkeep. Nor even the cost. Gathering (the basic process of gathering) 5.600 kurenite vs gathering 105 aidonium. REALLY ? I find Dan's sense of humour quite sick. The only way to go as I see it is just skip supernova (MK1-4) all together. Yes, I know the cost of research is humongous but honestly the way research works at that high rank is totally counterintuitive. To say the least.

Edit:

Bad math, it's only 5400 kurenite. Not 5600.

that's just the mk-1 model. mk-4 should be 559 energy, size 50, 10 billion or so cred and 200 aidonium (cost is an approximation)

While discussing research tactics with another legion mate it just hit me. Maybe PSICore listed the upkeep for what he pays at the moment. And at the moment he's Vygoid Builder. Can anyone in Knights Who Say Ni contact him and check with him ? Should the listed upkeep in wiki be doubled ?

Either way the discrepancy between Supernova and Proxy-Universe in terms of minerals cost is enormous and it should be fixed in the sense that kurenite should stop at Intercolider and Supernova should require aidonium. Gathering 5600 kurenite for MK IV Supernova is in no way, shape or form fun. Same goes for the weapons above Null Rays. This game should be fun, right ? I can understand if there was no aidonium around when Supernova Reactors , Thetacron Cannons and Quasi-Chaotic Blasters were implemented but I also see no point in keeping it the way they are implemented when all it does is make the game more tedious, frustrating and annoying.

Buy the Kurenite in the market. Problem solved.

I'm updating as soon as I research it. Cheers, ;)

And I thank you for that PSICore. My question still stands tho. The upkeep you listed there is yours (i.e. half of upkeep since you're a builder) or the actual upkeep ? Thanks.

Isn't the upkeep always 5% of the credit cost?

So the regular upkeep on something costing 5.5 Billion should be 275 million, which is double the currently listed amount.

I think your assumption about the builder bonus is correct.

The upkeep is listed when you hover over the module. I believe that is before the race bonus and mine says the same thing so I would imagine it is 137.5 million

As for the rest, the last few tiers of research added have been equally disappointing with gains that are in no way commensurate to their costs. Its been like moving from a Chavy Malibu that costs $14,000 to a Chevy Impala that costs $1,400,000 dollars

It's not the race, it's the profession. Which is builder in both your cases. The upkeep you see when hovering is not the actual (i.e. for everyone) is what you pay, hence half of it in both your cases. Thanks for the clarification.
