Officers and Leaders activate the legion missions, they should be given control to assign a certain number of slots to each mission. I am sure more than one legion has experienced people piling on to missions that give gear drops instead of spreading it around to ensure success rates instead of personal greed. Allowing leaders and officers to assign hard points to each mission much like the set number of slots on elite NPC bosses would help keep people in line and have an increased success rate, instead of having to boot people out of the legion for penalties for not following instructions. it could also be changeable on the fly to open up additional slots, but even the ability to set criteria slots would be a big help.

-1

Take the legion Carthyne Symposium for example. Everyone does task 3 because the task 1 reward isnt really good and the task 2 requires a certain race.

The main problem is race requirements, it would suck if you wake up a morning with all the slots on the 2 tasks not requiring a race change being taken. It would leave you with no tasks avaible

Well, it wouldn't HAVE to set for each mission, just have the option. I don't think it's a bad idea, it just won't work very well - players will just choose to not participate if they can't get the task they want.

legion missions are designed to be successful with strong team work. You don't have strong teamwork, why should you be rewarded? teamwork can't be forced down throats.

Lets try to keep in mind that this is about "OPTIONS", now who doesn't like Options?! I didnt say each mission would be required to do this for, it's about being able to do it when necessary. SOME legions dont have the coordination and teamwork others might have... and this will also help you determine who is and is not participating and who gets shown the door for lack thereof without suffering necessary fails for people dog piling.

Microsoft Excel and some typing can do this easily. It's what my legion does. Those who don't participate are isolated and could be replaced, but only as we find active legion mission folks. We have about 75% participation.
