Yes! We made it!! Last month, we tried to invade mission-based Exotic (10k each) from NI or GD (I forgot which legion)and 12 invaders ranging 2% to 14% success all failed and the owner immediately guarded it and all NIs or GDs guarded it and fluxed it.. It was a failure.. When Dexpertus hacked nice mission-based Dyson off NOTJOE, we coordinated our invasion once again and we had about 10-12 invaders and almost all failed except XxInstigatorxX with low chance of success managed to invade it! NOTJOE did came to guard it but we did it too fast before his buddies came to his aid..

What I learned is that I had 14% chance against Exotic (10k each) when I had 13k attack. Now, I have 15.5k attack so it increased to 17% against Dyson. Maybe 20k attack = 20%?? Wait and see how it goes heh.

Good job Dysonians! I think we are the first legion ever to invade mission-based, upgraded Dyson successfully!

I'm really glad I could be a part of this even if my invasion failed like most of the other 'The Dysonians'.

However, I thought mission based planets were secure. Either I'm mistaken or a bug is in the game. Losing a missioned based planet is a good reason to quit and move on to another game.
This planet was GREAT: 28X with 75space. I wouldn't blame the player if he quit.

This is my point exactly about the course of this game.

Huh? It's working as intended. It's really tough.. Highest success rate is actually at only 17% by most powerful attack ship in the galaxy: Me.. We tried invasion last month against Exotic of 10k attack/def/cloak each with 12 invaders and we all FAILED and Exotic was fluxed by its original owner.. Now, about 9 of us failed on Dyson til Jody managed to invade with extremely lucky dice roll.. Only one Dyson or Exotic was LOST in 2-3 months after the upgrade.. To me, I think it is working as intended.. Far far better than pre-upgrade that players kept losing mission-based planets cuz it was too easy.. I'm glad that it's much more challenge now..

We captured a mission based exotic a few days ago. I thought we were the first to get past the 10k passive bonus. It certainly wasn't a dyson though. Nice, especially since notjoe is particularly annoying.

I believe that this Dyson was Hacked from his database and not found by a Scan blitz.

It's the owner's own fault, and he deserves to lose it. Flux probes, especially when getting hacked a lot.

was he not in a legion so it was the base 10k passives? because without a legion bonus it was kinda his own fault. otherwise... thats kinda lame that no matter how guarded the planet is it can still be taken by some extremely lucky player that hits the 10% mark on invasions.

I do hope Dan replaces his dyson it was cool to take and all but would like them to get a new one.

Even I would like to see NotJoe get a replacement...It will keep players in the game. I was really LUCKY to Invade such a Heavy planet. Thank you ALL of the Dysonians..If it wasnt for them I couldnt have had that window of invasion...

Things happen but things also don't add up, at least to me.

I had 474 planets in my database. The odds of them hacking that planet are 1 in 474 or 0.21%
There is a 5% chance of of a hack being critical. So, that's what, 5 hacks out of every 100. 1 in every 20.
Of those 1 in 20 hacks which is critical there is also a chance that it will reward the hacker with extra RP rather than a planet location. I haven't done the math to add up the overall possibility of this happening but i'm thinking i might have a better chance of winning the lottery.

Because of the timer i couldn't alert. Maybe if there were separate timers (one for planet alerts and one for player alerts) things would have been different. I have absolutely no doubt that if i was able to alert that Ni would have had my back and the planet would have been well defended.

I flux probe all my top planets weekly.

Fact is, i paid for the terraformers to get the exotic as well as paid for the QSEs to get the dyson. I've spent quite a large sum (i'm known as the plastic king to some,lol) on this game and the main reason i bought the arts for those planets was because of their supposed ability to resist such attacks.

i agree... thats rather rediculous. i mean... really? hacking a dyson from someone and then invading it with 20k of each stat? thats just not right. lol you should get 550 gp for winning the improbability lottery... and a new dyson transformer.

I would like to extend a huge THANK YOU to Dan for replacing the Dyson which was taken from me today.

Even he couldn't believe the odds of such a thing happening. As Dan had said, "strange things do happen in this Galaxy of ours."

I am happy that i got a replacement planet, with all the structures that i had on it, and that Dan has done right by me. I am also extremely happy about some future changes which will be implemented (i'll leave that up to him to disclose).

Dan, You are a man of honour and have always done right by me and i thank you for making this situation no different!
