Hi

I am rank 422 and a member in my legion alerted a rank 25 player who kept disabling him. So I went to help him out but when i attacked this rank 25 player i was only able to deal 23 damage to him even though i have over 4000 attack and was using attack buffs and using artifact to reduces the defense on him to see if that would help. I ended up using more than 200 energy and not even his shields went down and seemed to be doing more damage to me even though he only had 145 attack and unknown defense which couldnt be that high im would imagine.

Is this some glitch or can this be explained as it baffles me.

Doubtful but still does not explain the situation others have also experienced.

If he is rank 23 and has 46 decks then it matters not how high your attack is as their damage cap will be 23 regardless.

Also did you ever consider he was online and just spammed shield restorers...

(Rank + 19) / 2 = Damage cap based on rank

Decks / 2 = Damage cap based on deck count

A player takes on the largest damage cap of these 2.

Also, you should use spy probes to find that player's real attack and def. The stats of an enemy player that are given when you attack are just stats that modules give him/her.

AnnQueen has an SSB. That's the most damage you'll be able to do to them per hit, and yes they're a very slow ranker.

Thats taken from the greatest SSB out there, its not an issue. It is simply one working with the game and understanding how the mechanics work better than others.

Yer simply i've never come across it before so it was something new plus others mentioned experiencing the same situation so i'm looking into it but Hallucinations saying "if you are not smart enough to use it don't come crying here when it starts beating you". is a harsh thing to say to anyone as for 1 i'm not as you put crying about its known as curiosity and 2 saying people are not smart enough to use a strategy is pretty stupid when some do not know it exists.

So i'd rather not have your advice if that's your attitude when someone is looking for advice on a GAME which GL simply is.

It's not that I don't/didn't understand the mechanics, I was implying with that out-of-context statement that the mechanics are not quite right with respect to damage caps and very high hull.

SSB is NOT the reason he held off that many ships.

Golgotha was a MSB, but he/she/it turned into a SSB after passing rank 1025 (2049 deck build)

Well, the Captain is a he, but the ship is technically an it, true.

True, but in my head a SSB is a ship who has less than 2x the amount of decks compared to his rank
