i hate to be the whiner in this situation, but can the 'decrypting the vault' mission have a chance to drop energy cubes? i just did a quick calculation and its gonna take me 96120 more energy to finish this even with all of the anti-cryptexes. if i was to just rely on the energy i gained per hour (not level up energy) then its gonna take me 2184.5 hours to finish this. thats 13 weeks. ive only been playing for 21 weeks. and that is why this mission seems rediculous to me. for the 97900 energy required to do this mission i think it should give something a little better than 230 scientists.

However, if the mission had a 25% chance to drop an energy cube every round (including the rounds where a cryptex is used) this mission would go from most hated to most loved because it would rank the player up a few times and give the mediocre reward it already does.

EDIT TO MY ORIGINAL IDEA:

make this a repeatable mission that has an infinite number of anticryptexes available for use (so if you get 10 then you can use 10) that way this would be an easy way for someone to bump up their research slightly.

Yeah, I'm rank 359 and still haven't gotten around to doing it yet; probably will soon though, just gonna wait until I get the last two NPC slots, so hopefully I can run into some good ones while I try to get through it.

my vote is for dan to change it so that an infinite number of anti-cryptexes would work. but if thats a no go then i would like the energy cube thing. it takes so long to do, and the xp ratio is mediocre at best, the reward is rather lame for the amount of energy put into it, and they have mission npcs that spam your battle tab and drop artifacts that up to a point cant even help with the mission anymore.

And have the NPC full your Battle Tab forever? Really Really Really Really Bad Idea!

This mission has a follow-up, so that wouldn't really work.

ah, i did not know that. and if this was repeatable then make the NPCs uncommons so that people dont instantly get a million scientists. but ANYTHING that reduced the energy to finish this mission would be worth it.
