i recently ran across a multi-account Silas Hawk leader and officer of Double Dog
the legion status reads
"THERE ARE TWO OF ME SO I CAN TAKE CARE OF MYSELF. SOME PEOPLE SAY THATS WRONG. A CLONE CHARACTER. I SAY I AM MY OWN LEIGON! TAKE THE DOUBLE DOG DARE AND JOIN ME IF YOU WANT. OR LEAVE ME IN PEACE!"

is this the proper place to repot such ingame activity or is the contact/report at the bottom of the app page where i should do it?

I heard a report from some others about this today as well. You are not the first to say so. But make sure you have the account names and screen shot everything that is incriminating so that you are not just "slandering" a name.

Dose it really matter? Dont hold your breath and save your time.

I've just recently come across this guy and been in a battle with him the last few days. He's now made another account to help fight me too, with a fairly obvious name.

Another exploit that needs to be squashed...
There are reasons in this game to have rules against such gameplay killers.

Would need to be somehow balanced to allow household members or someone on same network to play though : \
For example... My fiance tried playing... she quit as it was not her thing
(then again what stops me from using her account from giving me an unfair advantage?)

Best way and only way to go about with no if, and or but... Kill them all on sight get every one you can fined and raid hack and smash the lot of them. Sorry I really love that face.

When i played Ogame.se, they had built-in muti-warnings, but in some way you had to prove you where family members on the same lan thru an game operator, atm i dont recall how they checked so you just didnt cheat. when you did this, some rules applied such as you couldnt trade directly with each others and little other stuff, all game code limits, not honor limits. maybe some sort of check could be implented here for those real family members that play onthe same lan.

I saw that topic on the forum some time back.. but some one named More back up is no family member.

solving multi accounting takes a lot of work. Games like O-game or trival wars have dozens of rules/systems devoted just to this issue (multi-accounting vs. family playing, company co-workers, etc). There's no hard evidence that someone is running multi accounts but only very strong circumstantial evidences that are extremely unlikely to happen to non-cheaters. So the wielder of the ban-hammer has to make educated guesses about interpreting certain data (which I won't disclose so people can't use it to cheat better) and be prepared to answer complaints regarding the bans. A good wielder can have over 95%~99% accuracy (depending on how hard/soft standard s/he uses), but about 30% of the banned players (who are guilty) try to BS through complaints and claim it was a family member, etc etc (may contain partial truth). So while it is easy to ban multi accounts, I believe it is shortage of manpower (experienced or intelligent mods/hunters who know what they are doing, so Dan doesn't have to train them from scratch or have a hard time training) to deal with customer service that is currently leaving the multi accounts unattended. (as well as comparably low impacts of the multies to the galaxy economy/balance, compared to other games). It would be easy to do if a hunter chooses to ignore all complaints but there maybe some innocent players as well as some paying customers, so it is hard to ignore them altogether, leaving "doing nothing" the easiest option. (which I don't see a problem with, at least as of now) (or maybe there's a problem that I can't see up here at 305 rank) babble babble

The game seems to be centered around a database. All you would really have to do to get rid of more than 50% of multi's is to have a tool to search for the people that have reset more than 5 times, ban them and whoever they are supplying planets to.

PS: I think the real problem is that people that pay money farm planets with multi-accounts as well.

Just like sinsa said about "very strong circumstantial evidences that are extremely unlikely to happen to non-cheaters", I can think of a few examples. But now I have a easy one: have Galaxy Legion players verify their Facebook account.

Zophah has a very logical and smart idea that should be considered by any one who can think clearly. For the rest of us I consider a witch hunt. But lest no call it that i like the tern Inquisition better.

I bring this up again because I now have a screen cap of him admitting he does it, as if the legion description wasn't enough. He now changed the name of one of his ships to ALPHADOG1, the other is still Silas Hawk. I have filed a report, but putting this up just in case.

The guy that I posted about in the Core Exploit thread is also a multi-accounter. Whilst I don't have any proof of this, several of the officers in my legion had the same suspicions about him, and now that I think about it, this "MoreBackups" person sounds oddly familiar.

Multi-accounters are simply cheats and gameplay spoilers. I for one think it's great that the community here actively tries to stand up and point these cheaters out.

Unfortunately I don't know how to screen cap this, as I can only know this by the links in my news feed.

To make a screenshot, press the "PrtScr" button on your keyboard. It's usually near the F12 button at the top-right of your keyboard.

Next, open up Paint, (Or any other image editing program you're familiar with) and paste the image (Press Ctrl and V, or go to edit -> paste). Then crop your image as you like and save it.

To post your image, upload it to a free image hoster. Imageshack is probably the easiest site to use, but they've started forcing you to register for an account if you want to post direct image links. Once you've uploaded your image, grab the direct image link from the list of links the file hoster provides you with. In Imageshack, this link is the second in the list, but copying of the link will be disabled unless you've logged in (Which requires an account).

Simply paste this link into a forum post, then select the whole link in the post, and click the "img" button that is displayed above the typing area to place img tags around the link. (You can also manually type the img tags if you know them) You'll then end up with something like this:



When you post your message, the forums will automatically translate that into the image. I know this sounds like a lot of work to post an image if you've not done it before, but it really isn't and it'll get easier as you post more. I can easily make and post an image in under 30 seconds.

I know how to print screen, just not how to show what I said in that post. As when I click on the name MOREBACKUP in my news feed, it shows a ship named Silas Hawk. I could take two screen shots, but it's hard to pin the two together.

Take a screenshot of the one ship and paste it into Microsoft Paint. Move the image around until the top and left-hand edges of the image (Ie the top of the browser window etc) is off-screen, so you can only see the the ship window and the bottom and right-hand sides of the screen. Then resize the bottom and right of the drawing area to crop the screenshot to just the ship window. You then have the screenshot of just the ship window of the first ship.

Load up another instance of Paint, and paste in the screenshot of the second ship. Do the same to this image as you did to the previous one; move it around and crop it until you only have the ship window visible. Once you've done that, select the whole image by pressing Ctrl and A (Or go to Select -> Select All), then copy the image by pressing Ctrl and C (Or click Copy).

Then go to your first image screenshot window and roughly double the width of it by dragging the right-hand side of the drawing area to the right. Paste in your second screenshot by pressing Ctrl and V (Or click Paste) - it will appear on top of your existing image but you can just drag the new image to the right until both ship windows are displayed side-by side. You then have the ship windows for both ships in a single image. From there, simply save the image, upload it, and post it.

ok i want to say somn so dan does get pissed and think wrong......there is a ship out there named Xenoferic...this WAS my ship a while ago before i started playing this game on my HOME computer......so i dont want people to blame me of multi'ing......dan would you be so kind as to remove the ship named Xenoferic a lvl 14 Inergon explorer....as i have not logged on to it for weeks.....last time i played this game on an account other than home. thank you
