With the introduction of new Legion missions, Lords of Infinity is restructuring and thus has multiple spots available.
We are currently the 8th ranked legion, though all spots between 5th and 8th are fluid. Once we have filled our positions, it is likely we will return to 5th overall position.
You too can be part of our legion - A fun, casual environment where the primary rule is simple "Dont be a #*&$" to legionmates. We keep it simple, we keep it fun, and we keep it successful.
Current legion goals are likewise simple: Get our base to level 8, Complete as many legion tasks as possible, and Gather as many fixers and aerlen under one banner as possible!
(We call that one our "Feed a Fixer" campaign. Want to change out of builder, but cant afford it? We will fund you!)
Do not hesitate to ask questions either in this thread or over PM. This is an ideal chance for strong or high level ships to move into a strong team environment and complete as many legion missions as possible!

Not too mention we have a great, rational leader in Golgotha. Plus, unlike some alliances in the Top 5, we do not need to rely on multiple other alliances to take down a level 8 base!

I would also like to add, the legion has been like a second family to me. No matter matter what I have asked for, they have always helped me with a smile on their face. Of course there is the occasional disgorgement, but that is what its like in any family Lords have made me enjoyed playing almost 24-7, you got to sleep at sometime. Its a fantastic legion, and by becoming a part the lords family you will not regret it!

Sure they have a couple other pretty good hitters, maybe even a handful. But minus the Mento, you wouldn't have stood a chance lol.

So while I leave you two to argue about if it counts if the strong members of your legion help kill the bases you lock... For those who are interested in Lords, be aware we have a strict "Take planets from every legion other than our sister legions" policy. You will need to be prepared to have unlimited potential targets, both on the BT and off. There will be no soft NAP's to remember with random legions due to complicated political events. There will be no holding back your potential income due to limiting of scope. In Lords, what you see is what you get

No argument here Golgotha. Taking down a base is taking down a base, and that is all that matters. Just pointing out the logistics of it, since your members are so keen to point out the logistics of my legion.

I fail to see the reason why you would not utilize the battle pact system that is in place, sure anyone can take down a level 8 base with a few relatively good hitters and a lot of E the point of battle pacts is to spread the cost of the energy and allow the slots to be filled to maximize the silvers/raid chances per base. Other than that solid legion got nothing but good things to say about golgotha.

We almost always get over half the spots filled on level 6 bases with just infinity members, no need to give another legion some of our silvers

Says there are a couple other hitters in the legion, I wouldn't say otherwise. Golgotha, Rex, and Hall all put up some good damage to bases. I am just stating the FACT that the level 8 base you took down would not have happened without you, nor would they have even considered locking it without you or your approval. That is why we joined an actual battle group instead of basing with you guys and found it pointless to be part of Infinity. If Mento wasn't on, LoI gave up on bases, and half of them went without disable. It was a complete waste of energy and an annoyance every time we would join your locks to only realize the base was not going down. So I have to agree with Fireblade.....it's just a waste of energy to take down bases like that relying on no help.

Thats because people dont do maths.
One solo base a day is equal to three bases shared between three legions. That is if what you care about is the raids and silvers your legion gains, not the raids and silvers the other legions gain.
Not to mention, we let our bases sit for a few hours before killing them, meaning we get at least twice as many people on as the "kill frantically in three minutes" system.
That means one of our solo bases is equal to six 3 minute bases shared between 3 legions.
We probably let one base go every two days as not worth the effort. That leaves us with five bases that are worth six bases each.
So effectivly by soloing the bases in this style, we get the silver and raid wealth equivilent to thirty bases of a BP legion in two days.
And thats if you are only in a BP with two other legions...
Yes, it costs more energy. But when energy equals reward, why would you not put in the effort?

Spending 1000 energy for an adumbrate and some silvers or 20k for the same reward possibly, system works fairly well

Then Mento says it's not worth it for a few hours while the rest of us kill it anyways!

Then Mento says it's not worth it for a few hours while the rest of us kill it anyways! By 'the rest of us', you mean the rest of LoI, because the last time I saw LEoI put any actual effort into a base was when they saw they could make a sneaky pass into the top 10 because 3 or 4 LoI members who were in it had gone offline. And, truth be told, that scenario I put up wasn't a time when Mento was online, it was when he was offline. I say this because I am generally online when Mento is offline.

Since the most common thing said in BG chat was "Where's LoI?", we sure this wasn't back in the days when we were a teeny tiny legion

Billik wrote: Since the most common thing said in BG chat was "Where's LoI?", we sure this wasn't back in the days when we were a teeny tiny legion Notice my comments said LEoI. This was before the BG but after the merge between CoI and SoI. And, believe it or not, the only reason we went in for that BG was, and I quote most of our heavy hitters, 'we were tired of doing all the work' after LEoI sent us a tough base with multiple fixers and then did stuff all. And, when we were a part of the BG, it was hilarious to look at all the 'one-hit wonders' from LEoI who would then let either us or TU do all the work. I do believe that the highest recorded damage from an LEoI member was c10,000, and the combined effort of all LEoI members would roughly equate to c11,000 damage in total. Whereas the two or 3 members from LoI who happened to be online when a base was shared would (depending who was online) do double that with ease on a bad day during that three minute scramble. That said, it's all really irrelevant now, as our current setup allows us more silvers and less hangers-on.

I've been a part of both legions, since being a part of loi I have loved my time here, If you guys are going to make lords recruitment thread about this then what ever... there was no mention of Leoi or the new legion in there, you took offence when there was none meant (there are many legions with large battle groups not just you). It was simply highlighting the difference between us taking down bases with our sister legion AU in comparison to other top legions having a large battle group.
Lords takes multiple 6s a day on our own, it is rare that mento kills these bases himself, ur basically saying he's online 24/7, I see many level 6 bases where hes done the damage cap and others kill it.... I am not understating mentos power (everyone knows how powerful he is) but everyone is making baseless/unfounded claims that we rely on him daily to take down bases which is simply untrue. Also I would like to see anyone on here try keep up with mento on a base, clicking for as long as he does and then make the claims they have on here.... unless you have a similar attack to him then u arent going to be anywhere near his damage on the base. FACT is that while Mento has a powerful ship not many can do significant damage in comparison while the base is still alive (what are we meant to do ask him to slow down so others can do more damage? stop kidding urselves), all I'm seeing is people trying to belittle LoI and their efforts on bases with the same old excuse. The majority of bases go down with others doing the damage, there are many other strong ships here who can solo level 6s, golgotha, hallucinations, monte, rex to name a few.

You posted this on your recruitment thread, I think you should stay true to it... Crhistian wrote: So how about you worry about your legion, and we'll look after ours. Go be a moron on your own thread.
