Ok, I was disabled last night by Donkey from Cosa Nostra, after tripping a trap on one of his planets to ensure he didn't use a Temporal Flux Orb. When I awakened this morning, I'd found that I'd been hacked several times from enemy players.

Code:
5 hours, 24 mins ago From: RiAer
612 Artifact Points were stolen from you by RiAer
5 hours, 25 mins ago From: RiAer
948 Research Points were hacked and stolen from your database by RiAer

10 hours, 27 mins ago From: Ebc123
Ebc123 hacked you and set off your Quantum Firewall Trap!
10 hours, 27 mins ago From: Ebc123
562 Research Points were hacked and stolen from your database by Ebc123

Sure, I can handle being hacked an raided. I capped anyway. That's not my point. I've been disabled all night. I don't allow repairs on my ship, and I awakened to the same disabled ship.

I've not done anything to get on their logs, so how the heck can they see me if I'm dead?

this has happened to me if I get raided about 3 times after being disabled. I ask them if I was alerted(sometimes the same legion). the response I get is that they keep different tabs open(I would either buy tm's or do something besides waiting)

Yes, but there's an automatic refresh. Both of those hacks were 2+ hours after I was disabled.

No, they're not the same people, and I've not done anything to get on their log.

It's every two hours, I believe.

If you open a player on the battle tab... and keep his ship open, you can then target them for as long as you wish.

Isn't that the purpose of having the two hour refresh? So you can't do that?

The BT refresh occurs every 2 hours, as you have correctly pointed out... however that requires you to be playing the game actively on that screen... if all you do on that browser tab is keep your target ship open, then no refresh will occur.

Perhaps the biggest, but least mentioned thing that occurred quite a few months back, was that the actual in-game hourly refresh was removed, which used to cause the entire browser to refresh at the top of the hour/every 2nd hour, thereby preventing sit-ins, such as this from occurring past an hour or two.

So these days you can just keep tabs open with your target/s, and whack open a new browser tab to continue playing the game returning to your targets when needed.

I'm talking about the full refresh that occurs every two hours. It refreshes Facebook, GL, everything.

As for alerting, that's not possible. Only if I invaded. Besides, all of the offenders are in different legions.

I'm pretty certain that was removed months ago Darth... at least for me and most others i've spoken too, we haven't seen the full facebook refresh since maybe 3rd quarter 2012.

I know that i've not seen it in ages, and i'm regularly online for periods well over 2 hours at a time.

Now that you say it, it does kinda make sense. I'm not too sure I've seen it in a while, actually. Maybe it was removed after Dan made the game wider?

the refresh rate may still be around, but it is much longer than 2hrs now. I know I will hit a ship's halc trap, open up another tab and go about my business then come back 2 hrs later to finish off the job. The auto-refresh may only occur if you are inactive for a set period of time. I've hit halc traps late at night, inadvertantly fell asleep waiting on the 2hr timer, and when I wake up and try to attack the ship again, the screen refreshes.
