I had a Containment missile, and completed 9/10 rounds. So I went to do the last one and completed the mini challenge. But when I finished doing the challenge, I was told I didn't have the artifact needed. I basically lost my missile and the mission wasn't completed at all even though I just finished the challenge :/

Did you double check your cargo and make sure you didn't get the Gift of the Mind?

And you're positive you completed the mini game? There is a time limit.

I had the exact same thing happen when i completed my first round of the mission. At 7/10 completions, and after cashing in 54k artifact points, I didn't get a single containment missile, so I used the GP to buy the 3 missiles needed, completed the mission, used 3 GP to skip the mini round, and was told I didn't have the artifact needed. When I checked my cargo, I had no containment missiles left, and the mission was at 9/10... I bought 2 more containment missiles, and attempted it again and was able to complete. It's as though for me, it required 11 containment missiles, rather than 10.

I'm pretty sure it does require 11 missiles. The mini game takes a CM as well

100% same thing happned to me. I finaly found a tenth containment missile affter around 250k arti points with no luck and i completed the minigame with about 45 seconds spare and It told me you do not have the artifact required

Same thing here(9/10) and then I got a missile finally,and then poop on me.
I can't make a ticket in game for this either, I'm down to access with my phone only for the time being and can not see the stuff at the bottom of screen to click on for making a ticket. If someone is taking care of this issue, my in game name is Vashnee.

Just had exactly the same error. Ive been sat at 9/10 completions for ages, and no missiles in 300k+ arti points, so I purchased one for 7GP, completed the mini game..."you do not have the required material" + back to 9/10 completions no missile no gift of the mind, wasted 7gp and 150 energy (alot for my lvl)

this sort of happened to me ... finished the mini-game, and got kicked back out.

until this is fixed, i think the best way to avoid this error is to make sure you have at least one more CM in stock before making your final attempt, so 2 CM's in cargo when you are at 9 of 10.

It was 9/10, and I finally got another CM. I did a round and I got the mission reward. I didn't have to do the puzzle...apparently because I already solved it?

I'd suspect it was a glitch. As long as you didn't lose out, or gain anything you shouldn't have, it's all good.
