Is the halcyon trap currently bugged?
I'm setting it, and it shows as active on my Ship screen, yet I've been attacked and disabled twice in two days with them set, and the News feed doesn't show my opponents setting them off, but they are gone...
So I'm wondering, do Halcyon Traps no longer show in the news feed when they're set off? Are they bugged and not working right now?
Either way, I wanted to bring it to your attention. Thank you for your time with this and have a great day!

It works but its based on chance.Sometimes it triggers from the first hit and sometimes it wont trigger at all.

Have you performed any offensive actions after setting them? Like invading planets, tossing artifacts at a player/planet, disabled/hacked/raided someone? Those actions will nullify a Halcyon trap that is loaded for use. I suspect invasions.

Nick, if it would have not triggered, it should have still been there.
Darth, no, no invasions or such; I do know doing such things removes the Trap.
I did find where someone set of the trap this last time a few hours before someone disabled me after all, but I never saw such a thing with the prior disable; unfortunately now that one has faded from my news window. Ah well.
Thanks for the responses and have a great day!

Is it possible that someone may have set it off several hours before the ship that disabled you? I have on occasion thought i must have forgotten to set it only to run carefully through my news feed to find an earlier caller had popped it out and a new caller had found me with my proverbial pants down.

It has happened to me where I've went to sleep for the night got hit once while having a halc and it didnt show up on my news feed, it can make you think the halc didnt trip if you dont catch it and you randomly get disabled.

Either way, I wanted to bring it to your attention. Thank you for your time with this and have a great day! If you're setting it, then that means it went of or was nullified, or expired. If you do an action, it doesn't tell you the halc is gone, but its gone. So if you have done ANY offensive pvp actions, your halc is gone and it won't notify you. This includes hacking even

I've had this happen several times myself. It's not just his imagination.

I have had my trap tripped a couple of times this week only to have the aggressor actually disable me a minute later despite the trap going off.

Is it really "a minute later"? what does the feed look like? Note that halc blocks further attacks but does NOT stop you from disabled if the triggering shot would take all ur remaining hull

They're probably set off the trap on the killing hit. That is not what happened. The feed clearly showed the disable a minute after the trap was set off. To be honest, I have to wonder if it was a hack since it was a Dysonian (who I will not name here) who did the same to at least two other legionmates of mine after he lost a planet to one of us.
