Got hacked 6 times within seconds from the same player. Are they exploiting a lag? I will give screen capture to Dan if he wishes

When actions occur to your ship, such as multiple hacks or raids, they are stored on the server for a few seconds and you get the notices in a lump. Got that straight from Dan. So what you are seeing as only taking 2 seconds could actually be 30 seconds or more depending on how often your ship updates from the server. Which takes place when YOU do something that uses energy, or your energy/shield bars tick over.

I try not to post frivolous things. I looked over the history on my news feed and it appears someone is working something within the game.

I can always invite Dan to look at it aswell... I've seen a lot in the game with cheaters and all. I've seen many of those players get caught and banned. I have no sympathy for those who exploit to gain ahead of the rest who have worked for years trying their best to keep within the spirit of the game

ill testify that with two windows open, you can raid/hack fairly quick. i can do it within 3 seconds for each action. the longest part is waiting for the blue loading bar. I generally only use a second window when pvping and using a lot of nulls, i hate scrolling my arti bar down.

Don't forget that TM's remove the wait time after performing an action as well. Just because someone hits you multiple times in succession, does not mean they are cheating. As the guys said above, you don't get notified at the same time an action happens, and it may be some time afterwards before the game refreshes. In that time, the attacker could be using a lot of artifacts, which is exactly what those artfacts are designed for and not an exploit.

Bump. I got raided 15 times in less than a minute (less than 60 seconds).. not sure if TMs, extreme-high speed internet and adept mouse clicking permits this..

they are slow...1 ever 4 seconds sheesh I can do it twice as fast

I can easily do 10 raids a minute without multiple windows on a laptop with a touchpad. I think internet lag is the biggest limiter there.

It's not lag -- your ping time to Dan's server is in the neighbourhood of 25-50ms if you're based in the US. It's what Darth said: messages get queued and sent as a batch: I've also seen confirmation from Dan on this as well. It's one of the reasons I've given up on GL as a real-time combat game.

There are some folks who abuse the TM and hack multiple times in a row. I lost over 3,000 research points to one guy who is notorious for multi-hacking. He got me around 26x. Perhaps the person who hacked you is after the badge and/or prestige of being a hacker.

That is one of the intended purposes of the TM or else it would not reset the hack and raid timers.

For cryin' out loud! It's a Sci-Fi-Strategy War game. Artifacts are there to be used. How you use them is up to you. It is your strategy. There is none of this "abuse" in this game.
