Hey Guys,

I wanted to make an official introduction to the forum world from The Christian Legion. We've been around since the new legion system came online. This is part recruitment and partly a statement of who we are in case we meet some of you guys out in space.

The official description from our founder is
So far, we've just grown by players who search for the word "christian" on the legion board. Most of the really active members are in the mid 100's, but we have some smaller guys too. We have a very diverse age range too, so its pretty cool getting to know everyone.

We're not nut jobs or zealots. We're not here on some great crusade. We're not here to be pacifists either. We might not attack someone on the street, but in GL its part of the game. We honor Christ by the language we use and by keeping our word. Basically, we're guys who share a common bond that enjoy playing the game together. We are very active and take it seriously... but we still know that it's just a game.

So if you are a Christian and want to join the TCL family -- do a search for "Christian" and look us up. We look out for each other and enjoy sharing good finds. If you're in an opposing legion and you see us on your scanners and want to spar -- go for it... its part of the game. Just know that we're not the guys in white button-up shirts that are knocking on your door every saturday morning. Yes we have plenty of people who see our legion name and immediately hurl insults at us because we are not ashamed of our common Faith. You might get some witty comments back, but we won't respond with lewdness, because frankly it doesn't bother us. We're not perfect either.

No, and he never was. There was some weird "Disciples of the Christ" legion or something that existed for a while, but we have no relationship to them. I remember reading some of the posts in the form... yeah... weird... not us.

I've only seen a few South Park episodes, including that one. I probably should watch more.

We have encountered some PA folks before. I believe I have a planet in my scan list. We can always work out a way to get ships shared so that we can fight. I will look into it.

Cool... We have a couple of other minor issues to deal with (named Bulletmagnet) and I will get right on it. Shouldn't take more than a day or two.

No all of our members have been great thus far. He's from another legion... invaded one of our planets. So far we've managed to knock his combat rep down to "Feeble"... but he still hasn't quite given up... yet.

But, we digress.

Greating to the Commander of "The Christian Legion":

I want to say it is great to see a Legion made up specificaly of Christians and dedicated to God.

I am the Commander of the Black Hole Legion and we are a small group of 10 and I am a "Believer" same as you and I try to get Christians to join , but have some deficulty in doing so! Any opinions! We have been hit many times by raiders and have had our planets stolen, we have started conquering others to make up for our have loss, I dont like it but we need the research and artifacts to survive. What is your opinion on this?

I would also like to create a Non agression pact with your Legion, how do we do that?

Pete -- I apologize that I missed your message. I sent a message to your Officer's Conn. We will gladly accept an NAP request from you if you would still like to send it. If you or any of your men would rather join us -- that is also welcome. We do not have a "doctrine" test. If you say that you are a Christian and your actions and language reflect it, that is all that is required. It is a war game, so we don't try to limit PVP, but attitude and judgment are important.

I'd have to actually get disabled first. lol -- j/k... actually, I don't recall that happening to anyone. Don't start any new ideas!

I suppose if anyone did say such a thing, I would have to respond that He's right where He always is.



Well, our former Leader attempted to use the weapon, but he disobeyed the high commandment and counted past three. At least his ship was good for a few kurenite in salvage parts...
