I only need 500 scan to find Silthion Hybrid Drones, right? I've just gone through about 3500 energy and not seen a single one.

They can be stubbornly difficult to find at times. Just keep digging. I think I used upwards of 100k energy to find all my Drones. That's not counting the energy to do mission clicks either. Just like any other NPC, you can go a while without finding any then get a clump of them all at one time.

Took me 3 ranks to find one and then I find a second within 1000 energy. Because f*** logic.

Though yes, Flagitous; your statement was spot on.

Those Drones were a #$&*@. You need a lot of energy and need to npc hard to find them. Worse I can remember is going through 10k energy without seeing 1 and best was on a few occasions I ran into 3-4 in a few mins. It seemed to me that it was easy to get the 1st cannon, but the other 2 and especially last one was a #$&*@

what rank are you now?

Just hit rank 305 and I've got a grand total of three drones. My original aim when I first started the chain was to get all three by rank 400 and I was told that it'd be difficult. This aim changed to 300 when I found the silthion hybrid larva in a single day of NPCing and now I have no idea where it lies. I'd like to get my first before rank 320. On the upside, I signed up for Netflix's free trial and remembered the FB promotional deal for it and got 130GP for something I was going to get anyway. I'd got 45GP left and I'll likely be using that on refills.

I'm almost 500 and picked up my second cannon not to long ago. Those hybrids are few and far between. I would estimate you get one cannon about every 50 levels. Maybe a little faster with the Bane and biweekly going on. So I'll say you finish all 3 by... 453 1/2

The hyrbids aren't too bad to find now, really.



Got 4 Silthion Drone Glands sitting in my cargo and I'm at rank 324 now. I might be able to get all three by rank 400 (Which was my original aim).

I am currently in dispute with myself over whether or not to start using Neurals and RSLs. One full bar of energy gets me roughly 2/3rds, maybe even pushing up to 3/4ths if I'm lucky, to the next rank. If I used neurals and RSLs, I could probably start auto ranking and get all of the drone glands in a much shorter time frame... But at the end of it I will be a higher rank than if I play the waiting game like I am doing right now. I only pop tri-matrix emblems now if I'm doing really low xp ratio activities or hitting bases (Which is very rare for me to warrant the use of an arti like that).

Congratulations!.....I still can't find the damn hybrid larva.

I would say that I agree.. But I was incredibly lucky and it was easier to find than my first drone.

Got 5 drones in about 5000 energy today Boosted me to my second cannon. I've also locked two Sarkonis today, ranked twice and will likely have a second Aegis capacitor before the end of the day. I got my second Velox Thruster two days ago and upgraded to the next defense tier at pretty much the same time. This is a good week for me.

I did about half a dozen, maybe 10, ranks of PvPing when I got my first.
