 Status of NPCs

I know it bugs me when the percentage remaining on an NPC shows 50% when there is 2 health points remaining. Give us a fix on that maybe? I know that it would be much more useful if it worked.

really.. you want dan to waste his time on aesthetics when there are so many other problems in the game?
lets get his one done AFTER the multi use for artifacts, more npcs needed for higher ranks, better base rewards, footballs being addressed, coms coming back, and thats just from taking a quick scan of the first page.

First of all, it's not aesthetics. It's a function of the game which SHOULD be useful, and isn't. I know that to me, it's useful to see at a glance which NPCs remain to be offed when you run out of energy, but if you have it saying "100% Stable" when it clearly isn't, it is of zero help.

Frankly, I think this fix would take two seconds to fix.

So then according to you, everything which helps simplify the user interface is laziness on the user's part? Would you like to play the game with a command line and remember everything? That way you can practice your non-laziness.

no rarek, what your suggesting get 'fixed' is a simple visual problem, who cares if the health left is showing 50% when its only 5%, if your going to kill it, then your going to remember to hit it again, plain and simple. your just too lazy it seems to take that ONE click to see whats actually left, in comparison to whats showing.
personally, i remember my damages against npcs, and can usually guesstimate pretty damn well whether its one hit left or 3.
is this something that should get fixed.. yeah, eventually, AFTER the other more pressing matters are tended to.

this is something i've noticed as well. while its not as big a deal as other things it would be nice to have it fixed.

@Icarium i'm assuming they'd want it fixed cause they have slow computers. for me at times it takes a couple minutes to load up the image of the NPC after i click on it. not really a big deal if it gets fixed or not but would be nice if it did.

Just like it's lazy to see your current shield or hull while attacking instead of just checking your hull/shields before you start attacking something, and then just calculate the remainder based on damage while you're attacking.

I fail to see how "Laziness" is a valid critique of any suggested changes.

If the NPC says 50% stable, but it's really some other number.

It's more like sign says "This car is $100" and you show up to find it's only $25. It's not like the npc health is ever more than the percentage shown.

I can't say i find this as an issue, the npc's i see always die if there hit. If there's still life left on the bar after you atk you may not be doing it right.

I don't know about you guys but I see it as a nice surprise! You open up that NPC package thinking you wont have enough energy to finish it off after being gone for a few hours and BOOM! you actually do. :lol:

Oh yes the uncertainty of whether or not I have that 20 energy that it would take to down it even as a whole.

This was brought up a while ago. Can't find the thread, but I remember it had something to do with the Matched NPCs, and it wasn't as easy a fix as you'd think.
