All I have right now is just a basic idea of creating a new planet type, could use some help fleshing it out. So far what I'm kicking around is an artifact called a "Tectonic Stabilizer". It would be a mission unlock, and it would convert the world. Trying to think of a more creative bonus than just the +2 size/+2 resources one that the melter and crystallziers do. (yes, I know crystillizers are only +1 size, same basic idea though.) Definately a size increase. Maybe no increase in minerals, but a bonus to artifact and research with a passive defense bonus, due to the newly hardened nature of the world?

Razorback had a great idea for this planet conversion, but the community is torn between +4 Resources and -1 Space; and +2 Resources and +2 Space. Please Vote on your preference.

i feel in trying to be accurate...the planet would shrink with cooling...i know it was already brought up. But i suppose going from terra to gaia wouldnt necessarily increase the size...so no difference either way.

Keep in mind, a cool rocky planet means you have far more space to build stuff on, compared to trying to build on a few rocky spots on a lava-filled planet. So even if the planet itself shrinks, the space available to build on increases by quite a bit.

The problem is bonus resource arifacts (terraformers, planet data optimizers, purifiers) are much much easier to farm than bonuses to planet size (Quasis). This rather makes anything that reduces planet size useless as you can just spend some extra time farming terraformers and get the same effect w/o the negative, which can just as easily be countered with a purchased Quasi.

You really can't get an artifact to reduce planet size, or you might end up shrinking a very tiny into oblivion.

or it can be shrunk to 'miniscule' size. it would be like mega-colossal, but on the other side of the spectrum. although i am against the -1 space artifacts, i would like to accidently crash my ship into a miniscule planet with 9 size on it

Forget you guys bigger is better lol. I don't want any of my planets getting smaller. I hate a lot of the planet sizes, as your structures get bigger its too hard to fit anything on them.

Buildings keep getting bigger, but planets stay the same, not good...
