 Upkeep of 800m aproxx...how much to afford it?

I am wanting to upgrade my 8 anti-protons to 8 heavy nulls. I am a rank 154. I have a mineral production of 1960. Arti production of 2400 and research production is 2450.
I ofc like my arti production most of all and will concentrate on that...But what mineral production and rank will I need to be to afford an upkeep of 800M-1B? Thanks.

Keep track of how many credits you make per day approximately. That will be your answer.

I'm close to rank 300 by now and have a mining production of 4.3k, I rake in about 2+ billion a day but I do cap a LOT.

At your level, you would need roughly 2,500 mineral points per hour to be able to afford 800m a day, and that is if you're on often enough to collect the shipments before they max out. It may be wiser to wait until a higher rank to increase your upkeep to such a high amount.

Once you reach Rank 160+ you start earning Aidon's, it would help you a lot if you want to make a profit while using Heavy Null Rays.

EDIT:
8 Heavy Null Rays +2400 Attack (Konqul Bonus:+480 Attack) (540000000 Upkeep/Day plus your other Modules)
8 Heavy Antiproton Cannons +2000 Attack (Konqul bonus:+400 Attack) (143200000 Upkeep/Day plus you other Modules)
396800000 Upkeep/Day comparison just for a 480 Attack Difference.

Yeah, I accept that. Worth the credits. If I need anymore credits for other stuff i'll buy ku.

Plus all the tactical officers I am putting in my attack should begin looking more awesome

I think you have enough right now to afford that, but that will leave very very little for planets and repairs. I'd say 2500-2800 would be a good idea to allow you to not have to worry about credits, and should allow you to save up some ku.

I'm rank 257 and i have 4.3k min/hr as well and i can afford the null rays easily. And also get 2+ billion a day. What's your arti/hr Epic?

4.9k and rising. I don't have null rays, I prefer to keep the extra change as I get by perfectly fine with Antiprotons, that and I have a few expensive modules in other trees.

I afford a 1.2B upkeep on the equivalent of about 1.5k/day. It doesn't leave alot, but it's doable. I make about 600M in excess of upkeep. I'm upgrading to Exergonics soon, which will land me at max repair (yay?).

You will get about half the income at 160 from each mineral unit, so... Do able on about 1k. You should have enough.

My actual mining production, by the way, is 3.3k and I have an artifact/hour of close to 5k. 5k research.

My build is currently Balance (4x Heavy Rays and 3x Exergonic Inverter MK II (Soon to be MK III and Putting another Inverter After MK III)) with current Upkeep at 682.8m/day making a profit of 200m after PvP Repairs. 3 Broken Intra-D Colliders IV (Down sizing the energy mod to Dark Energy Cores) but still have 56E's an hour(Wormhole Relay). After Inverters, Imma go for +1200 Planetary Defence and +12 planet mods. That's about 1 and a half month of researching planet mods.

@Rank 167 I currently have,
Mining: 2k (Once you reach rank 160+, you will start earning Aidon's)
Artifact: 4.8k (Need more. 2 Terraformer left for Mission Exotic)
Research: 4.9k (Helped me research higher modules for PvP and Missions)

Unless you want to make profit with that upkeep, Imo you should be a builder, if not gain more VL ER+ Mining planets.
I'm assuming that you have +10s at this point

I tracked my credits per mineral point for a few days on a spreadsheet.
I don't know how mineral pulls may be affected by rank or other factors, but I use the following formula:

1 MP = 42,500 CR (approx, on average)

* this is the result after selling all minerals each pull.

You should be getting 1960 * 24 * 42,500 = 1999200000 (~1.9 Billion) credits per day, assuming you cash out before your capacity is full.

thanks, good advice. just for info I have 7 heavy nulls and didn't have enough space for the 8th so got a heavy phase cannon. I only put rank points on TO's and rely upon ship bots. now....after my last null, i'll be building up my defence...

I will agree with your numbers for the most part, but like you kinda mentioned what you pull is affected by your rank. As you get higher in rank the minerals you pull shift to the higher value ones. Also this is selling all ku and aid which you may want to save for some purchases, upgrades, and or an emergency reserve.

It changes at 85, 100,160 and again at 200. After that, I would not know.
