I'm miffed about the fact that I constantly have to scrap all kind of artifacts some other people might find useful so here is what I propose. Why don't you implement a deposit bank/legion stash kind of thing where people can unload their unwanted but, maybe at the same time , useful to others artifacts. Even with the current artifact restrictions (i.e. one deposit every 5 min and some of the artifacts un-shareable). Even with limited storage space.
I know you can ask on legion chat if anyone needs anything but for one thing that gets old really fast and for another you can clearly see only the last 6 lines of text without going into another tab and so on.

good idea! like a legion cargo hold with 100 cargo per member of the legion. this would go perfectly with the idea of legion bases.

I find the final (i.e. if you read all that mile long thread) proposal for legion bases horribly overcomplicated. What I propose is just that. A cargo bay shared by the legion. Maybe with an extra twist on being able to deposit credits and minerals. Even with the 20% transaction fee.

Good. spare artifacts and minerals go in, happy legion members come out.

We have had some of the higher guys with larger hold become "the artifact bank" and the "mineral bank." Since Dan did away with the critical raid and subsequent loss of artifacts, this worked well for us. There is no threat of loss of property, provided you have loyalty in the ranks. Now there are several of us that can fill this role.

but for smaller legions like ours only one person has over 200 cargo, this would be useful. each artifact you put in gives you 'legion artifact points' which are equivalent to the ap cost of what u deposit with a 20% tarrif. the artifact you wish to withdraw will cost the same amount of ap as randomly drawing it, just legion ap instead of regular ap.

You are complicating things. No, what I propose is a cargo bin where you drop stuff that can be withdraw. No AP draws, ponies or dragons. Simple. And yes, Obscura, you might have people with 20 billion cargo but new guilds don't. My proposal would help everyone but obviously the ones needing the help more.

When we started we were all less than 100 in rank and only 500 max cargo on the highest guy. But it will change quickly once you start getting mass storage pods and tesseract containers.

You really need to be careful with something like this, as people will jump around to different legions just to raid the 'bank' and then quickly ditch to another legion. One way to get around this is to have to make it so someone has to put something in to take something out.

How about having only officers and leaders can access the bank, or add a new legion level lower than member (perhaps probational) that can't get artifacts or minerals out of the bank. With a probational level, you could also limit them from planet shares (they would still get NPC shares though).

or you can use my legion ap suggestion. if a low level dosnt have enough legion ap to withdraw something, one of the higher levels can just send them the artifact.

Being able to edit member rights on the legion stash would be a nice addition but bear in mind that now I'm basically throwing AP out the window. So I'm not that worried about getting robbed. As for robbers I guess is up to everyone not to get in his legion every arse and his best friend. Again, tho, that would further complicate things. Give us a trash bin where people in legion can scavenge Dan.
