The guy that got the recruiting comm has a choice. If he's dissatisfied with his current situation and feels DE would be a better option for his personal situation, he can accept the offer and you've got no right to deny him that option because he plays this game for his own enjoyment. If he's happy where he's at, he's going to stay. If you're that worried about another legion "stealing" your crew, maybe you should look at your own legion and see how you can prevent people from voluntarily leaving. Make sure your own legion is the best it can be and the best option for its crew. We're all "free agents" in a way. We don't have a contract with a particular legion for the next 2 years. We have the choice of going wherever we want. Wherever we feel we will get the most enjoyment from this GAME.

I dont agree to how you think about this. If members wants a new legion to call home. They can come here and ask and all problems can be avoided. I personally dont think you have the right to just legion spam others to get there member's. If they want out they can come here. Were not going to down a member for leaving to another legion we would simply wish them happy journeys. The only time i think its ok is where a legion is dieing and only has a few members still active. I would not go to your legion with a lv 5 base and 30-50 member's thats 100% active and ask hey we want your member thats rude and not professional at all.

I revived CoI using this exact method bringing in about 15 people in a week and a half, like Darth said, they came, or politely declined. No one declared war on us over that, out of the 40+ different legions I sent the comms to. Not everyone who's looking for a new legion goes on the forums, so I went looking for them, and because of what I did we now have a legion that's just as strong or stronger than before.

If I was to spam a legion by requesting through their Comms for them to join our Legion, it would never be an active or large legion group. It would need to be a dying legion group, one that needs an olive branch to offer its members a new oppurtunity. The spam being sent to Legions for players to join them is an insult and disrepectful. This may seem petty but so is talking on your cell phone while eating supper in a 5 star restuarant.

Ok, I guess I'll mention at this point that I was targeted for recruitment while I was a leader in Warp Fleet. By a top player, for a top legion. Several times over a period of a few months. I wasn't offended in any way. Nor was my legion. It gave us a small sense of pride that one of our own was good enough to warrant outside interest. When I finally accepted the offer (before some things happened) my legion was disappointed that I was going to leave but wished me well. They understood that the other legion could offer me game enjoyment more so than what I already had. People really need to stop being so anally protective of legion members. They aren't your property after all.

Even in large legions people may not move until they're prodded, we managed to recruit from as high up as Supernova to players who were doing their own thing, no it's probably not the best thing to see when you're an leader of the legion but if you are running it well, your members feel at home there, then they'll most likely refuse, and you will know you have a better legion because of it.

Like i said at the bottom part its all good when there legion is dieing and you dont want a potentially good member to go to waste then sure its all good but going after people with a huge group is not the way to go about it When i was still the leader of Am and i found a member that could use more help then what we could do i looked around and said hey here is a great legion i know them and they can do a better job than we can... if member's show interests in looking for something better suited to them then hey im not going to stop then were not going to say this ''and say hey we own you'' and i have no tiff with mabe a small Pm to a leader say hey if u have any member that might be interested in trying something new let me know. that how you should go about it insted try to ask the whole legion that just starts a problem like this

WAR IS OVER
Whilst im not happy with members of DE spamming our comms It does not justify a war, if you want to recruit do it person to person DO NOT do it via our officer comms (btw the LEAST Likely people to be interested) its out of order imo, but not worthy of a war!. Apologies to other DE affilliates who were targeted, this was inappropriate, we are better than that.
just to re-iterate WAR IS OVER

Though our players WILL DEFEND THEMSELVES, AND WILL BE ASSISTED IF NEEDS BE.

Darth you may or may not agree with it but basing a judgment and twisting the facts does not. Factually Its not a "Threat." considering our legion members had been spammed more then once by said legion, and turned them down or failed to answer.

They point was not to meet said "Threat" as you called it, but more put in motion, a stop clause.

You don't even have to agree with the reason for "war." I am sure you have declared war over things more trivial then this, tis not right to place a judgment on another crew for why they are at war. Unless you spilled my drink. Then that would be a reason. :)

Thanks to thunderbolta for being the voice of reason in saying that accusing one legion of something their ally legion did is uncalled for :D
Thanks to Darth Flagitious and Billik for being the voices of reason in saying that declaring war over a recruit message is ridiculous :D
*** Yes, of course players recruit from Battle Tab when they're not full .. and I've recruited like that, and I've gotten recruit requests too .. YES, players should either join another legion or politely decline.. or say nothing if they don't want to waste 5 energy.
*** Legions whose members ARE loyal and whose members ARE happy and entertained where they are ... such legions aren't threatened or worried about recruit msgs.
PatronSaint, please remember it was your judgement that got bashed for twisting facts, others just pointed out the actual facts.
... But thanks for quoting the actual facts. Even though your judgement about the facts is false (well, in my judgement :P ) .. at least you did not falsify the messages, so that's a positive.
Thanks for the LOLs I got from the idea of Declaring War for "a recruit message sent from an ally legion"
Oh, and thanks for calling off "the hit" on me, we'll see if that's true later, I'm sure.

Last but not least, ;) thanks to me for the LOLs I gave myself:
* I briefly considered having Dragon Empire 4 declare war for "declaring war for a recruit message sent from an ally legion". HAHAHA.. neh.
* I also briefly considered getting others to declare war on Skeleton Crew for "declaring war for a recruit message" etc. hmm.. neh.
Sorry, I'm just not that bored... :P

Such a comedian Leon, and thanks for completely missing the point thank you.

Tis rather hilarous even though you are Dragon Empire 4, you so claim you are not Dragon Empire.

Everyone has the right declare war for whatever reason. Whether one person saw why the declare was waged or don't understand it is hypercritical. Not everyone will see your point of view when you declare war.

Oh you know what. . . if nothing else it was fun. I had fun did you have fun?

Just make a little bit of noise all the trolls come running.

For all the projections, I was never mad or felt threatened but I do appreciate your concern. Nice to know you are looking out for my health.

Seems to me you're the one that completely missed the point, as is illustrated in the second point you make here. LOL

"Dragon Empire" is a legion. "Dragon Empire 4" is another legion. We are allies but we're 2 separate legions.
We have a Battle Pact to help each other against enemy base target locks, but we are 2 separate legions.
We have a Trade Pact to send stuff to each other, but we are 2 separate legions.
I don't see how it's hilarious, or how it's difficult to understand. "United States" and "United Kingdom" consider themselves allies too, but most people understand they are 2 separate countries.

And "Everyone has the right declare war for whatever reason."??? Technically NO. Not if the... "United Nations" have anything to say about it... ;) ... but maybe someday someone will attack the United Arab Amirates for having the word United in their country's name and say that's reason enough... or maybe not.. I digress. Maybe you'll get it. Maybe you won't. Have fun either way, and try not to take a game too seriously!

PS I had fun too .. more fun than I expected, so that's something

Well I am actually glad we both had fun, and its really hard to miss the Dragon Empire 4 and Dragon Empire. Being totally separate identities, So I guess I did learn something today. You have to admit its hard not to get confused. but now that I know I won't repeat this mistake, and yes it is a game. If you have fun that is all that matters or why are we here?

Troll on over for some milk and cookies.

Roflmao, this whole thing just happened earlier today. You and Leon are freakin hilarious. I made Dragon Empire 1, 2, and 3 and believe me. We are not ONE thing. We operate separately but cooperate in big events. The Dragon Empire is not like the old one which some of you may remember.....There are no leader alts ^_^ Sorry if we insulted you in any way and it has been a nice conversation...

This has got to go down in history as the best War completely averted by public opinion. Though the context seems to be as broad as the day is long. I love it. Had fun. I apologize for any actions I may have taken in enabling this averted War, because it seems the most honourable action. I am sure we can go to War one day, in the furture but lets make the next War completely objective and for no good reason other than a "Good Fight". LOL. Glad to meet you DE & DE4, hope to meet you again in the open skies.

It's hard to get too offended if at all in this game. There is only so many players and so many legions. You step on someones toes or a mouse farts everyone was either there heard about it or laughed at it. I still want me a dragon egg so if I hit a few Dragon Empire players. Just trying to get my baby dragon. no offense. lol
