Hopefully this post will be a little better thought out that my last post in strategy...
My aim is Heavy Thetacron Cannons at 250, as well as Perfect Fermionic, Trans Temporal Arrays Mk 3 (aswell as energy nullifiers).
Now, looking at that, my instant reaction is that it is going to be very very expensive. Anyone got an idea of how much mining needed to upkeep, before I devote myself to a freeze?

Apart from the Thetacrons, that set-up isn't a tually too expensive. I'm running it right now on 4.2k mining. Only need space for the last Nullifyer

That means doubling my mining in the next hundred ranks. But if it's not too expensive, I might get syncos too. I like having the best I can afford. Obvious move is +12 buildings, and buy up a couple 16x toxics. Okay.

Off of rough numbers, 5K/hr should cover Heavy Thetacrons x8, Trans-Temporal Nacelle - Mark III x4, Energy Nullifier - Mark III x4, Perfect Syncopated Plating x5, and Heavy Obviator Shield x5.
You won't have a ton of surplus there, but depending on how often you colonize/invade/repair, you should be able to swing it for well under 8k/hr...

I think a major flaw in the slow-ranking strategy is that you probably won't be NPCing much, which means less Harvesters, hence a lower mining.

at your rank you will be getting a lot more bang for your buck at 250 the mining doesn't yield that much aidonium

I would say around 6000 mining. I myself had Theta's at a very low rank, this was the income needed to support it. Although I don't remember if I was builder or not..

You won't have a ton of surplus there, but depending on how often you colonize/invade/repair, you should be able to swing it for well under 8k/hr... what he said Considering that there is no intention for synco (unless I could afford it easily, which is seems not), or obviators I should be able to make it off of 4k/hour, as those are the most expensive parts, aren't they? Bluecifer wrote: I think a major flaw in the slow-ranking strategy is that you probably won't be NPCing much, which means less Harvesters, hence a lower mining. Yes, but I can sell artifacts anyways. High AP is characteristic of slow ranking.
