I don't know if this has been brought up before, I don't see it in the index post and I really don't want to go back through 30 some odd pages to check.

I'd like to see defenses/shields and scanners/cloaking be broken up a bit better for size purposes, while looking at both the deck space needed is added to every module whether it's say shields and defenses.

Example: Inertial Dampener Defense +50 29,500 59 26 Build
Heavy Force Shield Shield +91 110,000 22 24 Build

It does the same between scanners and cloaking as well as between the two different classes of defense, I'm not really proposing new tabs in the ship menu, simply adjusting all the weights so that dampeners/thrusters, defense/shields, and scanning/cloaking correspond to their availability timings.

Anyone think this is a good idea?

Yes. I was also thinking that a sort option for module buying would help in that. It would probably sort by size, cost, and type (also suggest the module type be added to the module buy window).

That isn't really what I was getting at, you already buy modules. I just think that as there are three different types of modules in the defense/shield tab that the weights should change to accommodate the different classes. As it stands right now the weight increases a cumulative between shields, thrusters and dampeners. Shields should increase in weight according to the class before it, same as thrusters and dampeners.

Same goes for scanners and cloaking, they are even in different research tabs but the weights of both increase on top of each other, they should be separate.

I know you buy modules. I was giving a few suggestions on sorting the buy window as a parallel to sorting the module tabs.
