Champions Of Time
Champions Of Time (CoT) is the product of a rare successful merger between the Children of Time, Champions of Vega and, later, high ranking players from Stormfront. We have continued to grow and improve in our eighteen month existence and now it can truly be said that we have long been a distinct entity, far removed from our origin. We have become, and we remain, an elite - though not necessarily elitist - top ten legion. CoT consistently remains on the leaderboard for rank and strength, usually ranking somewhere from number eight to ten.

CoT: Activity and Play Style
Champions Of Time is an extremely active legion, with roughly or perhaps slightly more than half of the legion being online at any given time. Unlike some groups, we do not focus on one particular aspect of the game. For instance, at CoT it literally "rains NPCs" - but we are not primarily NPC hunters. We are a battle-ready legion - but our primary focus is not PVP (though we do have members on the leaderboard in the PVP area and one of our leaders briefly held Exotica). At CoT there is "something for everyone." All play styles are welcome.

CoT members communicate and coordinate via Facebook chat. The speed and activity of the chat can be dizzying. Our legion comm is also quite active, but not nearly as active as the chat group. All members of CoT are required to join our Facebook group page.

Many CoT members are real life friends, and some of us live within driving distance of one another. We are a close knit group.

There are five leaders and five officers in CoT, an arrangement which allows one or more of the leadership to monitor our legion around the clock. Leaders are appointed, while officers are nominated and elected by the membership. Officer elections are held about every four to six months.

Our Base: Arx Temporis
Arx Temporis ("Citadel Of Time") is the legion base of the Champions Of Time. It is a level six base, and it has been expanded to maximum space. Arx Temporis is focused on artifact production (Base HyperFactory Artifact: 110) and distributes equally seven days a week. Distribution is equal, collection is manual. All CoT members are expected to donate credits for base upkeep as they are able to do so, as well as to donate resources toward the next base level.

The Collective Theory Lab at CoT contains blueprints for all known CT artifacts. Update: the latest blueprint has not yet been discovered.

Arx Temporis is the best level six base that money can buy. Has it ever been disabled? Yes. Is it currently invincible? No. It is designed to be an unattractive target. For instance, during a particularly hard lock when it seems apparent that Arx Temporis is in jeopardy, we might determine that we have time to employ the Fixer Call and approximately half the legion will change races to Aerlen Fixer. We do not have to be undefeatable, just unpalatable.

Legion Goals
Our constant goal is to improve our legion by improving our members. As a legion we have a goal that every ship have 8 cannons, Heavy Null Rays or better, and 8 defensive modules on at all time. The reason for this is simple: your ship strength is your attack plus your defense and our legion's strength score is based on the cumulative total of all of our ships' strength. Thus it is imperative for us as a top legion to have powerful ships. As a legion we also have a goal that every ship have the most energy capacity that each ship has researched.

The goal of the player shall be to constantly improve his/her ship and resource production while fully participating, when possible, in everything the legion does. Player participation and progress are closely monitored. CoT members are constantly challenged to ask and answer (and then act on) the question, "What can I do to improve my legion?" Advice is always available on how to improve in specific areas from ship improvement to planetary improvement.

Legion Initiatives
In addition to normal game play, Champions Of Time has developed or is developing the following:

- Funds For Guns - The leadership will provide any funds requested in order to upgrade Cannons, Thrusters, Dampeners or Reactor Cores.
- Energy Drive - Prizes are awarded to the top three contributors of energy (for upgrading the base) within a predetermined period of time.
- The Banzai Squad - CoT's saboteur squad, specialists in planet liberation. Maybe this is for you?
- Sister Legions - Stormfront and The Oncoming Storm are sister legions of CoT.
- Base Combat - We are involved in base attacks with several legions and we are always working to improve in this area. We focus on level five - six bases, and we do not bother with level fours. Level three bases are frequently locked in order to provide our members with easy silver badges.

Allies or Associates
We maintain alliances, battle and trade pacts with various groups. Stormfront and The Oncoming Storm are our sublegions and are never badged. Chesterton Royal Academy, We Don't Exist, The Dark Side, Supernova, Crimson Corporation, Galactic Paladins, The Honey Badgers and Galaxy Desperados are legions with which we currently have trade or battle pacts. Additionally we have soft NAPs ("no planet theft") with Galactic Paladins and Galaxy Desperados.

CoT is not currently involved in "wars" or conflicts with other legions, and in general we do not care about other groups. We are largely neutral in long running GL rivalries, etc. Our interest and focus is in improving OUR legion.

Philosophy and Recruitment
Champions Of Time is a close legion. In its administration it does not quite follow the corporate model, but it would not be accurate to say that it is simply a "family." CoT is more of a "family business" and family members are expected and required to perform. We feel that Galaxy Legion and CoT deserve more from our players than just a cursory glance as you move on to check the status of your Zynga games. We are addicts of this game and supporters of the developer, and this is what we prefer in our members.

Minimum rank: 350. Exceptional stats or outstanding ship build may lower this to around 300 or so. Ships not meeting these levels may be referred to Stormfront or The Oncoming Storm.

Whatever you have heard about us, or whatever we may have been, or whatever you think you know: all in the past. We dwell in an eternal present.

They are extremely helpful and great to work with and very knowledgable about the game.
