I would like to see one more green planet button added for 'Unoccupied'. This would help tremendously, while searching through your scanned planets. Dividing the 'Best Resources' into sub categories of mining, artifact and research would be awesome too. What do you guys think?

I love the dividing best resource part into all the resources but all you have to do to find unoccupied planets is type "unoc" in the search bar(the one that says "filter planets by name")

I agree, you can also type in 'ene' to sort by enemy, but it's so much faster to hit the button. Unoccupied is the only group without a button.

Could have it like a drop down menu. Click on it to just sort by the best, but when you hold your mouse above the 'best resources' a menu appears letting you select sort by mining, artifact, or resources?

Would it be better, instead that the filter buttons were on/off switches? Click [legion] and all the legion planets would disappear. I for one, wish I could see all the planets I just scanned (after a blitz) while eliminating all the other worlds I have in my list but the [just scanned] button doesnt really work like that. I could essentially turn off my planets, my legion planets, my enemy planets, and be left with unoccupied planets. Or I i could turn off everything but enemy planets, essentially doing the same thing as hitting the enemy button.
It would then also eliminate the 'all planets' button.

Guess what? Search bar does more than you think... it searches all the fields text (Planet Name, Type, Size, Best Resource, Control).
for example : "research unoc gas" then sort by best resource (which will always be research, and empty planets).
"metal mining you" "artifact enemy rich terra" "mining toxic unoc"
You get the idea. The only thing it will miss though is if best resource is say research and one step lower is artifact, you can't sort by artifact, but generally you want to use the best planet resource anyway so it's close. It might actually be better to split best resource into the three resource types values (maybe toggle display between numerical value resource %/%/% and the current behavior of best resource named "very rich" etc).

It could be even more useful by having a not modifier as in all planets not you showing all you do not own or not mining showing artifact/research planets

That is good to know Binary Man, thank you. It reminds me of when... I used to think I had to save up my research points to buy a tech all at once... (yup, I was one of those, figured it out on my own around say, rank 40!? LoL) My point being, I would have learned to operate my on/off switches long before I would have learned how intuitive the search field is... As thus proven just now. LoL
