Just like the title says. Is this about as obvious as cheating gets?

if you raid someone at 0 artifact points and 0 mineral points, do you still get a badge if you don't fail the attempt roll?

Honestly not sure. Would like to believe we just got a new hotshot recruit it just looks awfully suspicious.

It could definitely make some sense though as spending a lot of time at rank 10 or lower would leave you with plenty of targets with no mineral or artifact production

Rank 10 with 1639 hacks? Something got hacked alright... I call foul.

It's actually believable to an extent as long as the raids thing that Lycan pointed out is true.

judging by his level, i'd say most of the people he raids would have almost nothing in mineral or arti

but what catches my eye is he has all those raids, but hasn't disabled a single person...
(so who is disabling them for him? *hesitates crying out the M-word*)

the hacks are believable... hacks give you no XP... and a lvl 3 can see battle tab folks... and if i remember, nothing lower than a lvl 4 ever appears on battle tab
but.... 1600 hacks... even if all those were badges with no points,... that'd be 5 minutes a piece... accounting for 8 hrs a day away from the game, 16 hrs by the game every day... that'd be 8.5 days... (but you know most of those probably had a few points... even a newb has a few scientists)

The thing that catches my eye, Is that if he had done all that, not ONE disable back?

i take it back, without relays eventually he would need 15 minutes per hack... looking at about a month, figuring 16 hrs a day

Other people disable them for you I know when I was going after my proteans I developed a technique I called Ice Fishing

Anyway all I did was open a bunch of tabs and check back to see when the targets were disabled and I'd raid them.

and yeah that struck me the same exterminator but if he chose legionless targets only? and if he had a decent hull to begin with and got his proteans before he started going hack crazy it could have worked i guess.....still incredibly doubtful

Yes you get a badge and no it doesn't count to your successful raids. Neither does hacking someone for 0 research points. Also you can just click on a person with a low combat rep and usually they will be killed within a few minutes. so no multi is needed, but at such a low rank... that does seem a bit well planned. This is either some who reset and is extremely patient orl a multi.

sadly both possibilities are quite likely.....

suggestion #1... have Dan check into him for M-word abuse... or other possible cheats
suggestion #2... tear apart every word he ever says in chat, searching for proof of M-word abuse

I'm a decent hacker and just passed 1500 at level 646. I still call foul because at 5 minute cooldowns for 0 point successful hacks (which I can't say for sure even count toward the total), that's 5.7 days of NON-STOP hacking. 15 minute cooldowns bring that to 17.1 days, non-stop. Knock a little off for some purchased TMs (which a rank 10 most likely doesn't have many of due to cargo space limitations), we'll say ballpark 15 days non-stop. Unrealistic. Something isn't right.

Edit: Plus throw in the fact that that equipment layout requires 135 decks. At rank 10?

keep in mind Darth, he would be pretty much stuck with 15 minutes nonstop after a while due to 3-minute energy ticks

I'm starting to feel bad for outing the guy tbh we've got one talented low ranker that had an incredible amount of patience that's well on the leaderboard for hacks and he'd probably still be rank 30 or lower had we not encouraged him to start ranking.

Some people flat out do have an incredible amount of patience I'm not one of them.

He was accepted into the sith lords and was online but soon after logged off without saying a word so i guess we will wait to pick his brains when he logs in next

don't cry multi, but curiously try to get him to explain what he did to get his proteins so early
he might just be a veteran player that got tired and reset

yeah that would be about the best way to go about it. If Dan is checking into him and finds no fault I'd hope this thread gets deleted in it's entirety.

Aye, I didn't add that into the number crunch because, well, it's 2:30am. I just used unlimited energy (GP refills, heard of 'em? ) to help illustrate how unrealistic those numbers seem to be.
