Any chance of instituting a maximum banner size for sigs? They've gotten out of hand and most people have banners that are 5 to 10 times the size of their largest posts. It would be nice if an 'official' size could be posted. Most forums I am on have restriction. Smaller banners make actual content easier to read and find.

I agree with this some of those are just to large. I would say that the dark side and the Dysonians large one are the worst. I can live with the others. But some are getting crazy.

ok so if I split my sig into 3 smaller pics then post them one on top of the other would that be acceptable ?

because I've seen that as well making there multiple banners into one huge block and 2 of the pics you say are acceptable are the ones being stacked .

You up it and then you will get under others skin as well. I have no prob with your sig but if you make it larger I will. I also agree that stacking is a bit crazy. There is really no need for it and to tell you the truth I haven't seen one for a while. I say for now they can all stay the same but if they start getting larger and larger I think something will need to be done.

I think the main issue is height, i think 100 pixels is a good hieght

setting a hard coded size would be acceptable but you will find a hundred differing opinions as to whats the right size

It isn't nearly as fun to make a sig that small.
