The Vault: 1 completion At one of your colonies they uncovered what seems to be an abandoned smuggler's hold underground. Although they have tried opening it the blast door seems to be sealed with a highly advanced defense system. If you help not only will we see whats inside but we'll be able to reverse engineer the mechanism. Reward: Autherian Barrier Field (module, size 10, +40 shield +20 defense), it looks similar to a green colored magnetic deflector mark III, but is surounded by barriers of blue energy discs.
A shot in the Dark: 4 completions Now that we have the vault open, scans reveal that it leads to an entire research facility. It's huge so we would like you to lead the expedition, but you can take anything you find. Be careful, as scans also reveal multiple life forms. Reward: Autherian Interceptor (artifact, allows you to find an enemy player's ship instantly), looks like a green containment missle with a lens in front and blue wing flaps of a subspace seeker. Risks: crew death (rare), tactical retreat (mission failure, very uncommon)
Journey to the Core: 10 completions We cleared the complex of the creatures that took over when it was abandoned. Studies of the Vault reveal traces of third stage vable particles, a rare inert mass that only forms on ships that pass too close to the galaxy's core. If we search there we might find the source of this strange technology, that is if you can survive the trip. Rewards: Autherian Vable Reactor (size 1 building, max 1 per planet, cannot be built on a gas planet, +20 defense +40 population), looks like a glowing green cylinder with blue rings around it and a thick grey disk as a roof. Risks: moderate damage (determined by level, uncommon), random module damage (uncommon), Vable Radiation (effect, -20 cloak and attack for 5 hours, uncommon)
A Dangerous Greeting: 2 completions Autheria have observed your actions for quite some time, creature! You have stolen some of our technology just like the Prejor did! Autheria will deal with you just like Autheria delt with them! Rewards: Autherian Core Maps (artifact, reveals 1 planet of at least rare rarity) Cost: 1 autherian receptor per mission (special material, gained from defeating autherian ships that reveal themselves in the battle tab)
The Core of the Problem: 3 completions Creature, Autheria are sorry for our undignified behavior. Ever since a few rouge Prejor ships pilaged our colonies, Autheria have been angry. Autheria know this is a lot to ask, but please retrieve our stolen technology. Our defeat is proof enough to Autheria that you are capable of such a task. Rewards: Prejor Core Jumper (NPC battle, when defeated it rewards a Prejor Jumper Frame), a Prejor Jumper Frame is an artifact that when used gives 20 hull points and 20 cargo space
Autherian Blessing: 1 completion Thank you for dealing with those thieving Prejor ships. As a jesture of our thanks, Autheria will let you in on our development of a new supercomputer. You just have to help with the research. Rewards: Autherian Biocrystal Brain (10 size, +25 scan +25 defense +25 cloak), looks like a large emerald entangled in a web of blue neurons. Cost: 1 Neural Interface and 500 research per mission (but almost no energy needed)
About the Autherians: They live as a democratic collective, refering to "we" and "us" as Autheria and all other beings as creatures. Despite their ability to get along well with each other, they tend to be wary of outsiders. Because of this, they tend to live in the seclusion of the core planets where their natural physiology makes them immune to the vable radiation that floods the area. Without that risk, they freely use vable particles in their technology, advancing far quicker than other races.
What do you think?

Wow, very well thought out, and concise. I rather like it. Maybe Webguydan will too...

Agreed? Does that mean this may be implemented? (I would love some of those modules...)

I was also thinking a whole new set of missions similar to the XTS-9 missions. It would be unlocked at the end of the mission chain and think of the possibilities.
Vable Collection: From our contact with the Autherians, we realized the potential in vable technology. With numerous trips close to the core we could collect the stuff. The usual risks are involved but radiation canisters are worth the repair costs. risk: moderate damage (common), single random module damage (uncommon) reward: Vable Canister (looks like a light blue neon tube with a radiation sign on it)

Great idea Zophah! The Autherian race sounds as intriguing as the other races in GL. It appears u put a lot of effort into this. I think it should be added to the GL wiki along with the game. Is Zophah hired Dan?

Would you believe that I thought all of this up in 1 night and all of it was built around the biocrystal brain?

I've done stuff like this before. I've thought of my own saga, but am fine tuning it for putting it up here.

I almost forgot: They have triangular heads, greenish leathery skin, narrow eyes, and a skinny (almost frail) body.
