I was just thinking that it would be great if we had access to small energy canisters. Maybe a one time use canister that would replenish 50-100 energy that could be gained through artifact points. It can be really inconvenient when you only need a few points to level and you want to go to sleep, or you have to leave for the day, this would alleviate that problem. Also when an NPC alert pops up, it would be another perfect opportunity to use one of these canisters.
An alternative to this I guess could be a system that overloads your own system. So, say you have a device that would replenish some amount of energy but at a cost. The cost could be in maybe running your energy level in the negative, or overloading systems so that it costs money and would eventually need repair. It could be a power output overdrive or some such...
To put further limitations on it I guess it could be a part of research and level as you research higher levels of it. There could also be a timer on it, once every so many hours it replenishes.
Anyway, just some thoughts I had to help fix a problem that I know I'm not the only victim of.

I was just logging on to suggest this very same thing. It's so annoying when you're only a couple hundred xp from your next level and you run out of energy, or if an NPC is about to expire but you don't have enough energy left to finish him off (which in my current situation, I've got both of these things going on at once, lol)
Another option would be to be able to purchase a 15% refill for 2 points, or even better, a 25% refill for 3 points. It's less cost effective than a 100% refill for 10, but when you don't need 100%, it'd be a nice option.

I used to use Chron Shifter mission to do just this. It uses 1 Chron part, 5 energy to give 60 exp, and few of them would level me up But now that I finished the mission, I miss it and I agree OP's idea sounds great

And once again, I'm in the same boat... only a few hundred xp to go, and out of energy. Not worth using GPs to buy a full energy refill, but I'm so close I can taste the level....
So, a bump to this thread in hopes we might get an official reply as to whether or not this is being considered....

I'm trolling the forum, so please excuse if I'm posting redundantly, but how come we don't have this kind of thing through facebook? I know my son can get fruit for his treasure island game, my gf can get people to shave off time on her Kingdoms of Camelot buildings, why don't we have energy as part of the gift exchange? I'm sure it can be easily restrictive. Or the canisters can erode and then expire, (or even explode causing hull damage if not used in time! hahah)
Perfect example, the legion was working on an elite, I was so afraid I wasn't going to qualify for an artifact that I sat and waited with all conduits on waiting for the last bit of energy to level up so I could then go back and throw some more damage... (Instead, another player came back, finished him off, and I ended up getting the xp from that instead, making me level up, with all my cores off, and all my conduits on... That.. sucked...)
Anyway, give us ways to have limited smaller portions of energy. Or for Gosh sakes, enough with the credits for a daily reward and turn up the energy cubes!

I actually like the idea of a facebook gift of an energy canister. It's not some pointless "100 food" or "vampire cow" that I've seen from other games, canisters would provide noticable benifit in their use. You would actually benifit having more friends (by getting more canisters) but that being the only benifit will reduce "add me" spam.

USEFULL gifts/facebook post "spams" is very welcomed by me, such as small energy cannisters, those are usefull, take MW for example, everything you do, you need to spam like 32 times per thing you do/need to do, so my wall only consists of MW posts because i "need" 500 mafia wars family friends.

It would also be great if they came in a variety of sizes instead of a flat percentage. Like so: Tiny:20 energy Small:40 energy Medium:80 energy Large:120 energy Huge:200 energy Giant:280 energy Enormous:400 energy
These could even be found in artifact shipments so we don't get a full recharge but it could be the difference between finishing off a mission or not. The idea on the amounts was simply that higher level players don't usually care about 20 to 40 energy but they certainly would love 400. Obviously escalating costs are attached to the larger canisters.

There are several games out there that base the gift you can send on your current level. (Not what you can receive, just what you can send) Or perhaps upon how many friends you have in said game.

I was actually using that chron shifter mission to the same ends lol. But alas, it ran out.
Facebook gifts...I detest them, just for the sheer amount of time they take to accept, however I would make an exception for the idea of the energy canisters, not because I like the idea of facebook gifts, just out of necessity in having the canisters.
I think the percentage based canisters kind of take care of the need of various level canisters, but it works either way.

How about being able to disassemble artifacts to start filling up empty or partially filled canisters. I'd love another option besides scrapping them for credit.

I agree with the idea of smaller doses of energy. Obviously we would not want to make them so easy to get that no one spends real money helping out the developer by buying recharges.
I also agree completely that the credits as a daily reward need to go away! They are really useless and a huge let down when you wait 20 hours to get a million credits when a weapon costs you 300 million!
There should be a daily reward type and an artifact type. Daily would be normal Energy Cube and a 100 energy crystal/can/capacitor or whatever and the artifact types would be 25 and 75 energy.
None of the new types would adversely effect the balance in the game if only the artifact types 25/75 energy could be shared, and only shared within your legion and there was a limit of 1 sent by you per 12 hours and no more than 2 received by you in 24 hours from a fellow legion member.
Doing this in face book and crowding up my FB page would almost make me stop playing! All the silly, "I need a hunk of cow dung to finish my flower beds" junk drives me nuts!
I have almost completely stopped accepting friend requests in FB due to the deluge of new I need something messages! I really don't care that you are playing hickville or Kingdom of crudalot as I don't play them! Keep this in the game as that is what makes GL different! It isn't an ugly intruder in your FB world! I like it that way!
Remember to support the developer whenever you can buy spending real money! We need this game to survive and grow!

Right below the messages is a button that says "If you do not want to see any more messages from ________."

Understood. It still does not stop all completely and since everything is already in game why not keep it that way? Do we have to end up like every other FB game? A bunch of beggers?
That is how it looks to me. I am one person so...

I feel your opinion CQ, despite disagreeing. I found GL on fb and while I too got sick of the begging, no one says you have to ask. You can simply share. And since you're in PA with me, just think of all them canisters you'd be getting from me... Oh no wait... That would make you quit!! NO SOUP FOR'U! ~ D
