I had a rather crummy planet, Neryth, a Large Gas with Extremely Abundant Research (got it when I was just starting... never abandoned it). A friend of mine wanted it because it had rings, so I abandoned it and went to alert it. The rings go away if you abandon a world. That doesn't seem to make much common sense. I get that it is an effect and effects go away when abandoned, but something like rings should be truly permanent. Or at least, that's my take. I've since purged the world. No sense in reclaiming a Large EA.

I agree, If you have analysed the planet and they go away, That is ridiculous!

It might be intended to keep people from selling effects like that, essentially selling the Transfusers, but it might just be that that's how the system works. Transferring Transfusers doesn't seem like much of a problem though, considering you can sell all the other GP artifacts in a similar manner.

It seems that temporary effects continue much like temporary buffs and nerfs do during an invasion but permanent effects disappear like all the structures do when you abandon a planet. If you abandon a planet with a store bought artifact structure it goes away when you abandon, so losing rings, moons, and stealth shields is consistent with that.

It appears that yes, invasion is the only way to transfer a perma buff.
