Is there a way to tell who attacked you. I got back from work, logged on and found my ship at 19 pts (hull). I hadn't attacked anyone in the past 5-6 hours... so I assume, someone attacked me. I checked the News section, Ship section and Battle section and couldn't find anything. Is there a way to know??? How can I seek revenge if I can't tell who attacked me. There should be a way to know, in my opinion.

The only way you can tell is if the disabled you or set off a trap. You can also tell if they used an artifact on you. Other than that just attacking someone doesn't do anything to alert them of it.

So does that mean he tried to kill me and couldn't so he stopped and left without dying... or when you lock into combat, you fight till someone loses? I don't know as I won both my pvp duels.

When you fight in PVP you can choose to leave the fight when ever. If you are low on health you can quit the battle. What I normally do in that case thou is open up a new tab and heal my self in it so I can continue to fight the target I'm on. Because once I close the tab that player is gone till the next time he/she comes up on your battle tab. And by that time they may be fully healed. However if I'm fighting someone who first fought me and set off one of my traps or used an artifact on me then I can just keep fighting them from my news thread.

The point about a player possibly abandoning that battle for health reasons (or gaining the level they sought or showing mercy) brought a flood of possible causes to mind, so thanks for making it!

I once checked my ship to see how many hacks I have left, only to find that I mysteriously aquired 10 more player kills. The only way that could have happened without springing a trap would be if they died before I lost hull points. I just helped a legion member take the planet of another legion, so that would explain the number of extra attacks I had. I honor their boldness for trying to attack me when I was 30 levels above their best player, but suicide runs are pointless if you cant even deal hull.
