So really this question goes out to the top 50 legions;
What amount of ATK, DEF and HP does it take to put you off from attacking a base?

The last time our base got locked (cant remember who it was, although it was a top legion) they did about 1700 damage to our shields then gave up. Our stats are 19k att, 42k def and 274k hull, we arent maxed out either and we could add another 9k def, 23k att and 90k hull. We do have 100 normal space though and this helps tremendously. I would suggest around this if you only have 50 space and access to max research tier. 5 x Quasi-Chaos Turret for 17500 att 10 x Entropy Field Array for 35000 att 5 x Syncopated Base Plating for 150k hull this would however cost 5 billion a day in upkeep Mostly it would depend on how much your legion could afford and what tech you have access to.

you dont get a look at a base before you lock onto it. once you're locked you dont want to waste the reds you've spent, nor the 8 hours it takes to scan another base. so...no hard n fast rule about what you can hit. make your base as tough as possible.

Because we are still a small legion (only 20 of us) we can only afford the upkeep on the second best of modules.
Currently we are running and can afford:
12x Null Turret Attack: 1600 = 19200 12x Trans-Temporal Array Defense: 1600 = 19200 2x Meta-Chron Grid Shield: 10000 = 20000 5x Fermionic Base Plating Hull: 15000 = 75000
plus several hundred Charged Exo-Clamps
is this enough to put us in the "dont lock this mother****ing base again" list.
Im tired of our Defense bonus not being 100%

Members (20) that will really paint a big red mark on your base. The chance of having online members is just too low. and thats something attacking legions want.

Im tired of our Defense bonus not being 100% As remric said, with only 20 members you SOL, no matter what you will be locked and it doesnt matter what your stats are cos as soon as your locked you will eventually be disabled. I would, however, recommend dumping shield for hull.

well unfortunately, i cant do much more than i am about member number at the moment, as people seem determined to stick with their making their own lvl 3 bases, or are already in established legions.
We do however have a good mix of time zones and there is generally someone checking in at least every hour.
As regards the hull over shields, i agree completely the few shields there is, is there to act as a buffer to stop people slowly plugging away. We are planning to put the other 7 hull in over the next few weeks.
At the moment I believe only the top 10-20 legions could even consider us viable targets. Would you think this to be true?
