Logic error on "guarantee a reward"

That's kinda beside the point = =; You can have 50% on a N=3, that's defintely a lock, right? Well, you might still not get a reward if no one else does damage. And therefore, lock does not guarantee reward by itself ever

Ever heard the phrase "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" ??? EVERYBODY is aware of the fact and calculations (some even take advantage of it). NOBODY (except YOU apparently) has a problem with it. The ONLY time anything like this should apply is if YOU have the boss show up in your BT. Then, if you're low on energy or waiting out a repair, you deal 10/N+1 damage, then share. I do this all the time. However, it's only fair that you then finish off your part of the damage. This just gets it out to other people faster.

@darth: I'm just proving ODragon's point wrong, his statement is invalid because he makes unrelated assumptions. He said that 100%/N guarantee a reward while 100%/(N+1) only guarantee a slot, I'm saying they are both just guarantee a slot.
And therefore, the current system is WRONG by all means.
Yes, it does not really make a game play difference, however, that doesn't make it right. Why do ppl report things such as text error etc? Those never impact the game play in any real way. But it's still wrong. This is by no means in urgent need of a fix, because it doesn't carry any real harm. Still doesn't make it right.
Error should be fixed because it's an error, regardless of whether it is problematic game play wise.

Think about it. Text errors are errors, by any tense or context.
This has a meaning though. If everyone does 100%/(N+1) then the elite will never die. Therefore it works better to have it 100%/N.
To everyone else, it's better this way than it is your way. Again, you have to listen to the majority.

Lock does not guarantee that "everyone" does a specific amount of dmg, namely the lock dmg. And as I've mentioned before, ppl are not "lack of intellect" and are not really affected by the lock display. There is almost no real game play impact to it, most ppl will still do however much dmg they are doing now after a change.
And it's not a case of better or worse functionally, it is an error. By all means, if dan changes the TEXT on the lock icon to something like "You have done your fair share of damage" then it's perfectly fine. But calling it "guarantee a reward" is wrong. And it would be perfectly fine if he removed the lock thing altogether, so ppl can do however much damage they want. There are many ways to fix an error to make it right, but it needs fixing. It might not be a "problem" but it is definitely wrong.

The best suggestion I've seen is a "open lock" for a guaranteed drop, and a closed lock for the fair percentage damage. Can't see it changing though.
