I find myself hacking quite a lot these days.... I, also, find myself really enjoying hacking too. I am currently Vygoid/Excavator, but think I would benefit more from Spy or Hacking since my Excavator is only an extra 50 arti an hour... My question is what benefits me more? Hacking or Spy? If I do spy I get an extra 85 cloak, but what is that compared to 25% hack?

Neither, go finish the zolazin chain and become a zolazin sab. That way you get extra cloak, and you'll be super useful to your legion.

P.S From my personal point of view, PvP is more fun than hacking, plus the rewards are better.

take it from me, i loved hacking and became a zolazin spy, if you want to HACK i would go with that combo, the 60% bonus to cloak never failed me, but you will get bored VERY quickly. i am currently making the long trek to becoming a drannik because i got tired of the whole hacking deal.

Zolazin Saboteurs can be very useful to a legion that invades a lot of planets. But for long term you're better off going with a standard (starter) race/profession. At least until you unlock some of the "enriching" races (Mylarai, Taltherian, Kronyn). Keep your ship balanced and don't specialize in one particular thing. I maintained a balanced ship build from the start and have a savage combat rep with nearly 600 kills (half of those came after everyone had gobs of traps to fight through) and I'm also pushing 1000 hacks. Given a few Null fuses I can kill anyone on my BT and get a hack on 60-70% of them too.

Keep in mind that a high cloak hides your ship from comparably ranked players, but higher ranks can see you because they'll have more scan available thanks to more research and more decks to install scan mods (research and NPC farmed). This make you an easy target with little chance to effectively fight back.

The legion I am in has 3 members going Sab, but the other two are far behind me on the mission line. I was thinking Zolazin/Explorer would be a good combo in the meantime for WAR support. Hack > Tactical Inner-Bypass > Sharks Attack.
