 Base Glitch

So over at The Ranger's we are locked on a base, and the other legion activated some buffs.

They started off with 32K shields and then after buff this rose to 47K, and obviously over time their shields reached this amount.

Then one of our members hits the base for 1K damage, but instead of the shields dropping down to 46K they dropped right down to 31K. the buffs haven't worn off or anything, so this seems like a really big glitch.

I've noticed that too. It's hard to believe that a person can be that srtong. What level is the member that hit the base. If he's over 100 then that can be the cause of such a dip in numbers. But I don't see that being the case.

He's rank 800+, but like i said he only hit for an extra 1000 damage, that wouldn't cause the shields to drop by 15K.

Base damage updates when you attack the base. Likelyhood is that someone else also hit the base multiple times.

when you add in a base shield buff, does it just increase max? or max plus current?

because it sounds like just a visual glitch, assuming the shield buff only increases max shields similar to the hull buff....

Like i said before, that wouldn't account for 15K damage.

The total damage done by everyone was only around 3K damage at the time it occured, that wouldn't allow for a 15K drop.



Heres what happened blow by blow;

We locked onto their base & did some damage(around 400 damage)

They used their buffs, boosting shields from what was 32K up to 47K. *After using buffs their shields read as 31600/47000*

We hit the base some more(around another 1600 damage). *After this attack the base had 30000/47000 shields*

The shields began to regenerate and reached around 45000/47000 before we did some more damage.

Gallin then hit the base for around 1K damage, and then thats when the shields dropped 15K + the 1K damage that Gallin had dealt. *The buffs still had 3 hours left on them*

Basically the base ignored the shield buff and negated it as soon as someone attacked their base.


Hopefully that explains it better than my first post.

actually i meant to ask... 30-33 minutes?
20 minutes would only be 10 recharge ticks... so only 20% recharge in 20 minutes

sounds like it ignored the to-full recharge.... can't think what would've caused that......... i wonder if maybe it's related to the glitch where clicking repair doesn't repair

Ive been looking in forums for this, but not finding it... Our base has just finally gone from level 3 to 4. While our entire time up to level 3, when we upgrade our mods the cost comes directly from the base funds. Now that we're level 4, the costs for upgrading mods, comes directly out of mine and the other leaders pockets, who are switching out for new mods. This is getting expensive, and we all contribute to the base. Has there been changes for once you reach level 4 base, Im not aware of? If base funds are available, then why cant they be used for new mods and such, as it was prior to level 4. Or is this just a base glitch?

I would like to say we locked on another base recently (I forget the name) and the same thing happened, I logged in to see they had their shields buffed, no one was hitting it, I hit it once (at rank 613) and it dropped almost 17k points, but only said I did 94 damage to it, I had the screen up to show what everyone did for damage and only mine increased, it seems that once the shields recharge past their normal amount, the next hit just removes the extra shielding sometimes, although this doesn't normally happen, I've hit bases where I only do the damage it says and the base is past max shield due to a buff, idk what that inconsistency means.

just curious... did that base have the Grid Surge buff active when you did 17K damage?

yes, I think it had been activated when we locked and it had about an hour left on it

thought so.. i've seen this a few times recently, and as far as i can remember each time they had the grid surge ability active...

maybe that'll be a good place for Dan to start looking for the bug

I'm pretty confident (99.44%) they all had Grid Surge activated. Ever since I noticed this the first time, I've been trying to pay closer attention to everything to gather more data.
