i noticed when uninstalling equipment and doing certain missions that your equipment takes damage. I also noticed that when your ship sustains damage to the hull that you can repair it. so i thought that we could combine that repair feature with your equipment.

seeing equipment take damage and not being able to repair it would not make sense to have it blow up on you and having to spend double the reasources and money agian to buy a whole new weapon or hull plating.

so, if you have already bought the item the repair cost would be equal to HALF its orignal price plus the full mineral price, becouse it would make sense that it would need material compents to repair the device.

i thank you all for taking the time to read this and any helpful ideas would be nice to see. also if this post has come up before please direct me to it and ill gladly take this post down.

This is already implemented:
1. a module will not have any negative effect untill it is completely broken.
2. you can only fix a module after it is completely broken, but it will not disapear on you when that happens.
3. fixing a module takes half the module's credit worth, and no minerals.

Facepalm, you mean I could have been uninstalling and reinstalling this whole time? I thought you had to buy a new module after it broke and figured, what's the difference if I buy it now or later. I've just been selling modules and then re-buying them. My mineral ratio is kind of high right now, so it hasn't hurt yet.

I tend up sell most of the time as well. But I knew about this a long time ago. Just recently I have started taking off my relays when I level to get an extra 200 energy.
