after a member has put some energy , tech points into the base , when they then leave the legion and join a new one why do they remain in the upgrade window as recieving payouts of reasearch ect . is there anyway to make it update to reflect when member have left?

they remain there because they're part of the total contribution to your base

however, they will no longer receive payouts while they're gone.... but if they ever return, they'll receive payouts again

while they're out of the legion, you can effectively say their portion gets distributed to everyone else more or less...

if the payout is set to contribution based distribution, you can calculate your new payout like this:
Y = Your contribution percentage
M = Missing person's contribution percentage (or sum of all percentages of people no longer in the legion if there's more than one person)

100*Y / (100-M) = your payout percentage

so if
you contributed 40% (Y)
and they (the person that left the legion) contributed 20% (M)
and bob, jim, sue, bill, and tom each contributed 8% (which make up the other 40% collectively)

100 * 40 / (100 - 20)

= 4000 / 80
= 50 ...so your payout would be 50%

likewise, bob, jim, sue, bill, and tom... each... would be getting 10% payout now

Edit: corrected stupid math mistake... thx Darth

You forget Bill... 4 x 8 = 32 not 40.... ;)

ah thx Darth... had i actually bothered with the math on that 8% i would've caught that... had other things on my mind at the time.....

actually...

5 people at 8% would've ended up as 10% each...
4 people at 10% would've ended up as 12.5% each...
