Hey Dan, I saw on the wiki that youve run out of scanners, Ive got an idea for a new one. But Ive gotta beat "theoretically capable of travelling any distance without losing resolution", so here goes. M-scanning An advanced scanner that utilizes P-Brane quantum fluctuations in order to detect trans-world identity meaning that it could theoretically detect any object of any form of matter in any universe.

What does that have to do with this?

Found it, that was actually easier than I thought it would be, heh. Now can we get back on topic.

I was thinking more along the lines of calling the next tier 'Continuum Analyzers'. However, keep in mind that only a tiny fraction of players have researched the top tier.

That sounds cool, I was naming my idea after the M-theory of multiverses.

Like I see one tapping into black holes, stars, other dimensions, and even other multivereses to get better scanning.

You spoil it for yourself if you completely absorb the research tree from within the wiki.

It only goes so far and its one thing to know how it ends. Either another to take the trip. What I commonly say about movies. I am ok with you telling me how it ends. But the ending is not the same as watching it to that point.
Plus how it looks does play into how much I like it. I have spent a few minutes staring at a complete upgrade installed into my ship. (But I am an art kind of guy.)

Oh I know!
Temporal based scanners.
Scan new planets before they even form!
Scan enemy ships and know what they're gonna do before they know what they're doing!

I believe 4 players have researched max scan tech so far. Or perhaps more but they don't have the cash to buy the tech yet?
